Often difficult for a large group of us, but our choice to go here was rewarded with prompt service, and our own room at the back. I considered the food average, cost reasonable.

Had dinner here during our recent visit to Pontianak. This is quite a big restaurant, clean with both outdoor as well as air-conditioning dining hall. The menu was quite extensive and the seafood served was fresh and well prepared. Service was friendly and pricing reasonable. We enjoyed our dinner here.

Fish soup served with rice. Loved it! Really generous portion of fish in the soup and it's tasty. The special lime juice was also good. Better to sit at the large area outside as the area with air-conditioning was hot and stuffy.

GM is a very well known restaurant in pontianak. Though expensive it is a quality place to get all of the local Chinese pontianak cuisine that the city is famous for. Staff is usually helpful but can be slow. It’s usually very clean and busy.

Abang Kepiting Restaurant

Reviewed By jeffchia88

One of the best Seafood joints I had eaten in the region. I had a family reunion lately in Pontianak with relatives from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia and we had a seafood feast at Abang Kepiting on the first night. It was walking distance from our hotel at GajahMada. The seafood served, crabs, prawns, fish were super fresh, seriously you cannot get it any fresher than here. The dishes are flavoursome, delicious and mouth watering good and value for money. Be early if you want the good stuff, we were a little late, they had run out of my favourite giant prawns -Udang Gala.
