I like the setting of the restaurant, by the beach. People very nice and service very good. The ceviche was good, you can ask for a little more spices if you like it hot. The whole fis are nice and you can asked them grilled instead of fried. It is an old place in CoCo. For the drinks if you are like me a pain in the neck stick to drinks style gin tonic or cuba libre. I had a mojito and it was a cocktail but not a mojito. I would recommend the place because no burgers and or pizzas. A good place to go to avoid crowd of drinking people and enjoying a quiet nice lunvh or diner

We had an amazing dinner on our last night in Costa Rica. Chef Luis prepared a delicious and original pasta dish with the fresh Yellowfin Tuna our group caught earlier that day. The skirt steak on the sea salt block was also tender and flavorful. The service was impeccable. Only wish we had known about this gem earlier on our trip. Would definitely recommend. Best dinner in Costa Rica.

We went for the pork chop breakfast (on the recommendation of a long time expat) and were not disappointed. The food was great and plentiful. The owner served us himself and was so kind and helpful. Would definitely return!

Read some reviewsâall excellent food but a bit expensive. Most of the entrees were between $14â$22âwell worth a ridiculously delicious & plentiful meal served with classy & attentive service. First we had the thinly sliced & nicely seasoned octopus appetizer. Very unique & delicious. Our entrees were the beef & portobello risotto, which was bathed in the most ârobustoâ red wine reduction risotto that made us both fight over it. Also, we had the shrimp in orzo dish which was equally as flavorful as the other one. For $19 & $20, you will not find a better value for your money. The atmosphere is very pleasant, with an outdoor terrace that would be wonderful on a cooler evening , but we sat inside to enjoy to nice , cool a/c. The husband & wife owners are from Venezuela & Barcelona & are both very friendly & classy. When youâre in Cocoâtreat yourself to a great meal & experience. Buen provecho!!! (Thatâs the Spanish equivalent to âBon Appetitâ. No extra charge for the Spanish lesson!).

This place has been my favorite restaurant in Guanacaste so far!! The draw is the out of this world view, but the food and drinks are also fantastic! The waiter recommended the avocado fries and they did not disappoint! The octopus in my boyfriendâs burger and my poke bowl were perfectly cooked. Maracuya is the on site restaurant at the Bahia Pez Vela resort villas where we were staying. On our first night it was easy to walk over after a long trip. We were not sure what to expect , but our food was superbly prepared and we met our server for the week,Cesar. Cesar and the other staff work tirelessly to ensure your visit is special. Even the poolside lunch menu was quite good with excellent smoothies. Some nights there were local entertainers making a very enjoyable evening. Our meals at Maracuya were the best we had during our visit to Costa Rica.

We didn't actually dine in, but picked up some amazing mahi mahi steaks and jumbo prawns to bbq at our Air BnB. The quality was amazing, the price was right and the service was fantastic. We'd planned on a dinner stop one night, but after a long day at the beach, pulled the plug - very unfortunate, as it looked absolutely amazing! Definitely give this place a try when in town.

Our family of six had a fun time finding this place, and were glad we did. It's a great place to relax by the beach, have some tropical drinks and good food. We stayed around to watch the sun set on a huge rock between two islands off shore. The team of servers was very attentive. Our only complaint would be the constant battle to keep pesky flies off of our drinks and food.Hello Birdguy: Thank you for your review and for your business! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. I have watched many sunsets between the mountain and island in front of Father Rooster. It is quite a display. Glad you enjoyed the food and drinks. I wish that we had a better solution for the flies. They come on occasion and cover the entire region--generally when the winds are pushing out from the farmland over the ocean. It is pretty tough to keep them at bay.
