We went for the pork chop breakfast (on the recommendation of a long time expat) and were not disappointed. The food was great and plentiful. The owner served us himself and was so kind and helpful. Would definitely return!

The food is absolutely superb, and complemented with a highly attentive staff, a cozy and intimate ambiance, and a jaw-dropping view, makes this unique hidden gem one of the best restaurants in the country! Everythingâs fresh, immaculately prepared, and beautifully presented. For lunch, you just canât go wrong with their nachos, fish tacos, ahi tuna salad, or steak sandwich. And for dinner, make sure to get there early to watch the sunset over a couple of cocktails, and then enjoy their caribbean style seafood soup starter, followed by one of their freshly caught fish specialties. This place has been my favorite restaurant in Guanacaste so far!! The draw is the out of this world view, but the food and drinks are also fantastic! The waiter recommended the avocado fries and they did not disappoint! The octopus in my boyfriendâs burger and my poke bowl were perfectly cooked. Joaquin made our time at the Ocotal Beach Club wonderful. He anticipated what we might need or want, responded to questions and requests immediately and made us feel totally at home. Katy made delicious breakfasts--her own take on huevos rancheros was wonderful! The place is beautifully attended to and Joaquin was always working to make sure it stayed that way. Highly recommend.Thanks very much to Martha and her husband, a very special couple for us who were staying at the Beach Club, it was easy to know what they wanted or needed, you were very kind and of course my wife Katy offered the best tasting breakfast. Hopefully they come back again.

we were on holiday in costa rica recently and i wanted to find somewhere nice to take my new wife for her birthday, after a search on trip advisor i found Che Sirloin, what a lovely place this is, i booked our table for the evening of 28th june through facebook. All so easy, when we got there we immediatly felt comfortable and welcomed. There is a really nice ambience to the place, we chose an outside table. we had a really great steak dinner with drinks and it all came to just over $50, brilliant. The owners even messaged me the next day thanking us for our patronage and generous tip. we had hoped to go back before we flew back to London, but things didn,t pan out, if you are in coco beach definatly give Che Sirloin a look, you will not be sorry.Than you for your kindness Guy. We were honored to host you and your wife on you special day and graetfull to have met your expectations. Till your next visit to Paradise.BestChe Sirloin Team

Maracuya is the on site restaurant at the Bahia Pez Vela resort villas where we were staying. On our first night it was easy to walk over after a long trip. We were not sure what to expect , but our food was superbly prepared and we met our server for the week,Cesar. Cesar and the other staff work tirelessly to ensure your visit is special. Even the poolside lunch menu was quite good with excellent smoothies. Some nights there were local entertainers making a very enjoyable evening. Our meals at Maracuya were the best we had during our visit to Costa Rica.

I created a Trip Advisor account just to review this place. Iâve been travelling in Costa Rica for 10 days and rice & beans are fine but if youâre looking for something really special this is it! Went with a group of four and were welcomed by the gracious owners as delectable as their sangrilla. They let us taste their gamut of homemade sauces each better than the last.Had a chicken burger with homemade Caesar dressing that hit the spot like nothing else Iâve had on this trip. Their passion for food is evident in every dish. My boyfriend had a smash burger, not an easy find let alone in Costa Rica, the grilled onions on top were perfection. Topped it off with their homemade dessert tart, refreshing and delicious. Canât wait to come back during the high season to try their legendary Thai salad and onsite roasted coffee and who knows what other amazing dishes theyâll have!Highly recommend!

Our family of six had a fun time finding this place, and were glad we did. It's a great place to relax by the beach, have some tropical drinks and good food. We stayed around to watch the sun set on a huge rock between two islands off shore. The team of servers was very attentive. Our only complaint would be the constant battle to keep pesky flies off of our drinks and food.Hello Birdguy: Thank you for your review and for your business! I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. I have watched many sunsets between the mountain and island in front of Father Rooster. It is quite a display. Glad you enjoyed the food and drinks. I wish that we had a better solution for the flies. They come on occasion and cover the entire region--generally when the winds are pushing out from the farmland over the ocean. It is pretty tough to keep them at bay. In any case, thanks again for your business and please come back again soon!
