The best place in Italy (and maybe in Europe) for all the computer & technology lovers. You can touch and use computers from ages ago, from a personal computer to a mainframe. The guys of the museum are really into it, they really love everything is historical and they know really well the systems you can use/touch at the museum. If you're in Sicily and you are a nerd/geek or just a computer science supporter...you must have to visit the museum.

MuMa - Museo del Mare di Milazzo

The MuMa - Museum of the Sea of Milazzo, located in the Castle of Milazzo, is a spiritual journey to rediscover the harmony between man and sea through science and art. The MuMa is born from the moving and tragic story of a Sperm Whale, renamed "Siso", which in the summer of 2017 found its death off the Aeolian Islands due to an illegal fishing net. After the extraordinary recovery of the bones and the reconstruction of the skeleton thanks to the initiative of the Biologist Carmelo Isgrò, the idea of creating a museum was born. The MuMa is not the classic Museum of the Sea but a place where Science meets the Art understood in its wider facets. The visitor will live an experience of knowledge thanks to interactive educational videos, virtual reality experiences, augmented reality and multimedia artistic installations that will lead him to become aware of the anthropic impacts for a necessary change in the man-sea relationship.
