Used to have a fantastic reputation, we were bitterly disappointed and felt they were still cashing in on their former glory. My room was dreadful, felt grubby and I reckon the curtains could have stood up in their own without a rail. Slept badly because of the noise, and was up at 5.30 ready to flee. The room and the food were awful but the bill was huge.

It was a great dining experience, the food was delicious and we received superior service. We arrived in Wesel late saturday and were able to secure a reservation and enjoy this wonderful restaurant. We'll definitely return on our next trip! There was a great wine selection. I really love the spanisch selection (Muga, Roda ...) but they only have it by the bottle. Cheers !

Wir waren an einem Sonntagmittag Gäste in der Marktschänke. Zum Glück hatten wir reserviert, das Restaurant war einmal mehr ausgebucht.
Der Empfang durch eine sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterin war sehr herzlich.
Das Angebot der Speisen weckte Erinnerungen an Essen in meiner Kindheit bei meiner Omi. Auf der Karte fanden wir zum Beispiel:
Hochzeitssuppe (mit Markklößchen, Eierstich und Blumenkohl), Roulade (mit Salzkartoffeln und Rotkohl)/ Tafelspitz (mit Salzkartoffeln und Salat), als Nachtisch eine Herrencreme...!
In Sachen Geschmack gab es absolut nichts auszusetzen. Meine Omi hätte den Koch in ihr Herz geschlossen!
Die Portionen jedoch waren so "gutbürgerlich", dass wir ihrer nicht Herr werden konnten. Die "Reste"wurden von der aufmerksamen Mitarbeiterin eingepackt und wir konnten sie in einem "Doggy-bag" mitnehmen.

In a very particular location, an histirical in the center of wesel, the restaurant managed by an italian family offers lots of italian dishes with the original formula of buffet. The owner and chef is very very friendly and the food is delicious. The price for a dinner is on average but i suggest to visit it. You will return.

Stopped overnight in our motorhome just beside the ferry just 200 metres from this restaurant. Decided to eat here tonight and we were not disappointed. Great friendly German service, sat outside on a balmy June evening. Great menu choice. Food very well cooked and presented. Nice views over the Rhine River. Cycle way runs right past. Very reasonable prices. Would much recommend stopping off here for lunch or dinner.

This restaurant is well known to local people. It offers a large choice of delicious original Polish food and beverages. I recommend the potato balls filled with ham and meat ("Kartoffelklöße") accompanied by a really tasty Sauerkraut. Also vegetarians will be happy at this place. Some polish dishes are quite heavy. You will succeed thereafter in easing the digestion with the help of a vodka or a spicy liquor.
