Rather expensive if you can't read Japanese menu. They only have pics for expensive items. So we couldn't order other items except for uni and abalone rice bowls which costs us 3450yen.
A plate of 5 grilled oysters cost 600 yen but they tasted very good indeed. Affordable!

Hatsumode or new Year Visit to temples is best done in Ise Jingu. A side trip to nearby attractions in Toba can be free if you get a Meitetsu return trip ticket for Ise and nearby places at a bargain price. Ise ebi head is best done with white miso soup...truly warms the tummy after sashimi.

Went there a couple of weeks ago, it's a famous restaurant for local.
Food is just excellent and quite cheap.
It costs about 3000JPY for two adults w/o drinks.
Worth to try if you're looking for nice seafood restaurant in Toba.
But not sure if they have English menu.

This traditional Japanese udon restaurant incorporated local produce into its cooking. It produces its soy sauce for use in its food preparation. For more elaborate kaiseki meals, you need to order ahead. To my surprise, this place opens early at 5am for breakfast and closes after lunch. We had lunch there after Mikimoto Island.

4000円からと高めですが、伊勢海老を食べるなら万人受けします。外国人に慣れています。お店はモダンです。駐車場も広く、大型バスも入ってきます。この地域は1930ラストオーダーなので予約して行くことをお勧めします。鳥羽駅からの送迎があります。

I'm not sure about the negroni cocktail, but the beer was cold and the snacks were delicious. Staff were very attentive!

土曜日に鳥羽へ行き、いきつけの食堂が閉まっていたので、急きょ家内のお勧めのここ「一栄（かずえい）」さんを訪問です。17時に予約なしで突撃したところ、18時半までならＯＫとのこと。早速席に着き、定食メニューからエビフライ定食1,850円を注文。カウンターの上には美味しそうな魚介系惣菜が大皿に沢山盛られています。お酒を飲みながらいろんなおつまみをチョイスできるので良いですね。いつも夜は地元の酒好きの方々で賑わうとのことです。出てきたエビフライ定食は、開きのエビフライ2本、サラダ、小鉢２つ（もずく酢、鮭のマリネ風）、味噌汁、漬物ですが、見た目にも美しく食欲をそそります。エビフライは弾力があってタルタルソースがまた美味しい。鮭のマリネもさっぱりしていて、口内の油をサッパリさせます。お隣のお客さんが頼んだ刺身が盛りも多く、これまた美味しそうでした。次回は刺身を食べようか。ご馳走さまでした。

We had lunch at the hut that was extremely hot in summer of about 35~36 degrees. The amas were very friendly and grilled the seafood for us. All customers had the set lunch.
