Close to the riverfront this is the best restaurant of Santarem. It offers very tasty local cuisine, often using fish like Tambaqui (which tastes like the fruit it eats) and Pirarucu (one of the largest Freshwater fishes in the Amazon). Run by two sisters.

Nossa Casa is one of the best places to eat in Santarem. Located close to the riverfront, it serves regional food with a modern touch, mostly fish-based. Fishes to try are the tambaqui (flesh tastes of fruit) or the pirarucu. I personally like the caldeiradas (fishstews). Also good caipirinhas.

I went several times there but the latest I really got impressed. The whole property was emproved which includes a very safe starcase to access the various areas including the very clean and nice beach. The service is amazing so the food and the various drinks. Music taste was great MPB(Popular Brazilian music). You can arrange to get there at Alter do chao as well, either driving or by fast boat which on either case it takes about 40 minutes.

If you don't know your way around, it is not easy to find a good restaurant in Santarem Brazil. The Restaurante Piracema was recommended to me so I tried it. The service was friendly and since it is known as a good fish restaurant I tried their fish of the day. The food was tasty and overall I had an enjoyable lunch.

We enjoyed the buffet offering. It included several salads, pasta, beans, rice, and different kinds of pork, beef, fish and chicken in sauces. Either pay a fix price or by the weight. The latter was a better deal. Desserts are available at additional cost. Various beers and drinks available. You can also order off the menu.

Very good buffet with good mix of fish, meat, chicken, etc. plus all the sides and salads. Plenty of tables either in the AC or open air. Parking a challenge downtown.

I went so many times to this restaurante because I got a good price for a good vegetarian meal. Staff and owner are very friendly. Close to the city center, but not on the main square which is better since prices are lower and quality much higher. Nice outdoor garden and tables to relax and enjoy shadow from hot Sun of Alter do Chão. There are many traditional local dishes made of fish and meat.

Not a restaurant, it's more a shop where you can get good chocolate. Good thing: they've got also lactosis and gluten free chocolate, but no 100% cacao option. Maximal 85% cacao. Still good.

People claim it's the best pizzeria in Santarém, but when I went there, there was a lack of some dishes. They are not open for adjusting their dishes for the customer's needs, for example, when they are gluten or lactosis intolerants. They are not even open for adapting salads in their menu for those not wishing to have carbohidrats.
It's a great disappointment with such a famous and well structured restaurant.
