When ever I am in Sala I always find time to visit this restaurant. Situated with outside Seating with a view over the nearby lake you can chose anything from have a coffee and a cake to a three course meal, Irrespective of your choice you will always feel welcome and find that you have had value for your money. It is a popular place for both locals and visitors so if you are eating a meal it may be worth booking in advance.

Owner Liena will always have a nice word to say to her customers. Perfectly situated by the tracks. Coffee is good and the cakes/sandwiches are recommendable.

I went there for a conference and it was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences in my whole life. The only thing that I managed to eat was the salad buffet. Probably food is better if you have meat dishes. And the staff was not service minded either.I hope they make quick improvements because the spa and hotel is really nice.

Welcome to Värdshuset Sala Silvergruva! Here you can dine in a beautiful and historical environment. The restaruant is located in the old resident for the manager of the mines water system who lived here in the late 18th Century. He was in charge of managing and operating the water pumps in the mine as well as the large water Wheels that was needed the bring the silver ore out of the mountain. Today you can enjoy tasty Swedish cuisine with a modern twist. We want to affirm the Swedish food culture, heritage and use both herbs and spices that are well-rooted in Swedish history.

When you have a guy like Åzzy in the kitchen - what can go wrong? In this case nothing can go wrong. Great food and great service. The owner is quite "chatty" and takes good care of his customers. I have always been well taken cared of by him. I will be back.

An improvised lunch took us there. A nice complementary sallad a real home cooked syle lunch and strong as..coffe for a very reasonable price. Complements to the chef and even to the friendly stuff. You can easily park on the square just ouside the restaurant. Highly recommended.
