Wij hebben lekker gegeten, correcte keuken en aangenaam kader. De uitbater mist echter enthousiasme en was gewoon niet echt vriendelijk. Gegeven het minder hartelijk ontvangst geef ik maar gemiddelde score hoewel op de keuken weinig op te merken valt.

What more to say about this extraordinary place serving delicious and fine food, wines and spirits. We came here for a romantic dinner (in winter) and enjoyed a great Seating next to the fireplace ... Top service, top food ... you enjoy your apéro and coffee/digestif in "le salon" in this most beautiful, romantic decorated restaurant. An adress to remember !

En plein cœur de votre région de Famenne, au pied du talus ardennais, c’est dans un écrin de verdure que fut posée la 1ère pierre de cet ancien arrêt de tram où Mère Mathilde commença a développer son art culinaire fin des années 1800. Le décor rustique cadre tout à fait avec l'architecture du lieu et son histoire. Amoureux de new design vous risquez de ne pas être conquis, mais par contre les amoureux des vieilles choses dénichées en brocante seront ravis !

Chez Mathilde is part of the Hosttellerie Le Ry d'Ave Sourd dáve 5 Rochefort.
We stayed a weekend. The restaurant is part of the hotel. The reception of guests is first class personal attention. The rooms needs to be refurbished. Style '60. However the
restaurant is perfect, first class service and fresh food. Attention: food in Belgium restaurants is more expensive than in the UK and The Netherlands, therefore order a menu and you will get with Mathilde a perfect evening dinner. Wine arrangement is value for money. Owners do speak French, Dutch and English. They are very customer orientend. Hotel is an old tram-railway station, English style decorated, We recommend
this place in case you like to have a very good weekend in the middle of one of the finest places in Belgium. (nature, dear, walking etc). A hotel to come back.....
The menu is also in English, French and Dutch.

My son and I had a really excellent meal here. Good menu choice, and excellent service. Complementary small soup, nibbles and bread to commence, which was most welcome. My Thai noodle main dish was really delicious, and my son's steak was also very good. I would highly recommend this well priced restaurant.

Born and raised in Rochefort and a fan of thai food, I couldn't avoid Samthaï… And luckily I didn't !
Set in an ancient downtown bakery soaring above the Lhomme (local river), the place offers great tasty thai food, served with a genuine smile and much care and for an altogether very affordable rate.
Recommended by a native (= myself) !

We found this Brasserie when we were walking in Rochefort. The overall is ok but there's something missing that will make you return. Staff is very friendly but slow.
The meat is cooked on the open fire and it tastes good but maybe a bit overpriced.

Everything is good about this restaurant. The staff is very kind, the food is amazing, I recommend the pizzas, the tomato soup, the cheese fondue and the chocolate fondue with fruits. Is very pretty, elegant, and you may need to book because is one of the favorites of everyone.

tres bon accueil et bon repas sans etre derange par le cafe, nous avons opte pour les brochettes qui sont XL avec de la viande tendre qui vient du boucher juste a cote.
