This restaurant is operated by Kyonan fishing port association and it provides many fish dishes which are cooked with ocean fresh fish from the fishing port.
Many TV programmes and magazines featured this restaurant, and it has become a very famous restaurant around this area. A lot of people came to there to have lunch and dinner on the weekends.
The restaurant is located 1 km from Hota station, Uchibo JR line. Almost people visited there by their cars due to inconvenient access.
Over 50 people waited to get their seats before me when I arrived at 11am on Sunday. However the restaurant has many seats, so I could get my seat 30 mins after I registered.
Seafood rice bowl, Fresh Sushi set, Sashimi set, squid tempura and Lobster dish were popular dishes. Average price was over 1,000 yen, not affordable, but quality of fish was really fresh and tasty.

Tenzen is a restaurant located in the middle of the mountain. It is an old traditional manor with Japanese equipments of the old days worthwhile to see. They serve lunch and dinner with courses with the main dish being a charbroiled skewer of beef, chicken or seafood. Although it may not be easy to get there, the restaurant itself is nice and spacious. The food is delicious using local vegetables. A reservation is needed. Highly recommended

Wow! I love this bakery. I lived half a block away from the Nakapan. It's located just across the circle from Tateyama Station in Chiba Japan. The Bakery is over 100 years old and is wonderfully inviting and the smell of it in the morning is still lodged in my memory. They make the best Cinnamon sugar doughnut ever! Also if you are there early you can get a fried squid Sandwich, in one word "Amazing" Around the corner are some stairs and they lead up to the restaurant. I found that everything was so good! The ladies don't speak much English, but they are great at charades, and Cheerful and excited to help you!
For an American far from home, try the apple pie! It's the best ever.

お店の場所は館山駅前からは少し離れており、布良港近くの安房神社入口近くに店舗がありお店の並びに４台ほど停められる駐車スペースがあるので車での来店もOK!
特にお勧めのメニューは、刺身定食とさんが焼きとアジフライで兎に角鮮度が良く魚の旨味を最大限に引き出しています。
今回食べた刺身定食上の内容は、鯵・カツオ・カンパチ・イナダ・ネギトロの５種類の刺身とご飯、味噌汁の内容。
さんが焼きとは、新鮮な鰺を三枚に卸して叩き、味噌を敢えて大葉を巻いて焼く南房総の名物料理！
「あさみ」のさんが焼きやアジフライは、刺身に使う鯵を惜しみなく使用するので普通のさんが焼きやアジフライとは全然違い他店のさんが焼きやアジフライとは物が違います。
館山という場所柄を考えると決して価格は安くはないですが（実際食べると凄く安く感じる）出てくる料理の内容を吟味するとお値段以上の満足度を得れるお店です。

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend who lives locally. From the outside it looks like a nondescript old Japanese building, but inside is comfortable, despite the small size. The omakase sushi set is extremely good value for ¥3000, yet there is no skimping on the portions, thick slices of very fresh local fish, served with crab miso soup.
The sake selection was also amazing value, top of the line sakes for a fraction of what they cost in Ginza. Our friend told us this restaurant is extremely popular for locals, the oldest restaurant in Minamiboso - dating back to the Meiji era. Booking was not needed for a weekday lunch, but is probably necessary at the weekends, as it is a small counter and a few tables, with seperate rooms at the back. Well worth a visit if you are in southern Chiba.

房総旅行で必ず立ち寄ります。
金目の煮付けは最高で、毎回いただいております。
あみなや丼も海鮮丼ですが、盛りだくさんでおすすめ
今回は、イカ刺身とつみれ鍋もいただきました。
どちらもおいしかったです。
あと、あさりのバター焼きもいつも頼む定番です。

I had the "Aburi Kaisen Don" (broiled seafood bowl) which features different types of seafood - some raw, some cooked and some which you'll have to grill (DIY). Never had so much food in my life for only 1500 yen! Overall, quality and freshness was excellent and this set is really value for money but do note that it is limited to only 25 customers a day. If you don't manage to order this set, you'll have to settle with other items on their menu which I'm sure should be good too.
