This place has only one thing to serve. A set UNAGI-course. A little salad, UNAGI over rice, Clear soup with ell liver, Japanese pickles, and dessert, all at once. Sometimes, I order a snack goes well with sake prior to have dinner but still they bring out dinner within 15 minutes from placing the order. That is Izushin's tradition. I know that they will never change a thing because this is the 5th generation of their family business in Kiryu.
No credit cards. Unagi is not cheap so bring a lot of cash for the payment.
I believe this place starts around 5pm and closes around 7or 7:30pm as soon as they run out of UNAGI to serve. Go early.

所詮 きしめんみたいなものと舐めていたが、着丼して びっくり。
麺の幅は 10cm位ある。 長さも25cm位か、でも 厚さは1mmくらい。麺は シコシコだが、食べにくい。でもカレースープと良く合う。
麺の世界は広いと実感。予め 貰った 紙エプロンで助かりました。

こちらは、言わずと知れたソースかつ丼の名店。創業80年以上ということで、歴史を感じる風格もあります。ソースかつ丼の発祥地については、いろいろな説があるので、なんとも言えないテーマですが、当然群馬もその一つとなります。我が町小鹿野の「安田屋」さんのタレのわらじかつ丼も、群馬や長野のソースかつ丼の影響を受けているのかもしれません。ここまでで、「かつ丼」を7回も繰り返してしまいました。
さて、お楽しみのメニューを見ると、通常メニューとは別刷りメニューで、1日15食限定という「厚切りソースかつ丼」1200円、と、かつ8個入りの「メガ盛りソースかつ丼」1200円が、大きな文字で結構な存在感を出しています。初訪問の私としては、このインパクトには勝てず、更に「限定」という言葉に負けて、「厚切りソースかつ丼」をチョイスしました。
開店直後だったので、料理が届くまで、かなり待たされましたが、この焦らされ感もテンションが上がる一つの要因となって、丼が到着した時には、かなり血圧が上がっていたでしょう。
ただ、焦っていたので、写真がピンぼけしちゃって残念でした！更に言えば、厚切りの厚みが全然伝わってこないぞ、この写真！
味は、安田屋のタレかつ丼よりは濃い目ですが、市販のウスターソースよりは薄くて旨味があります。このくらいの厚切りかつにも合いますね。さすがに、この厚切りかつを5枚連続で貫徹するのも疲れるので、箸休めの冷奴とお新香が重要です。キャベツのサラダも別盛りで来ます。1200円だけあって、なかなか贅沢な、満足のいくかつ丼でした。ちなみに、5枚すべてヒレかつです。というか、ソースかつ丼はすべてヒレかつだということでした。

桐生駅から桐生天満宮に行く途中にありました。大きな雰囲気のある一軒家ですが、通りからは分かりにくかったです。桐生名物ひもかわうどんとソースかつ丼のセットがあり、両方食べたい時には便利。観光客向けの店だと思います。

おきりこみで有名なお店です、他にも様々な逸品がありますので基本的にどれを選んでも美味しいのですが、実はお蕎麦がメインのお店です、実際お蕎麦系のメニューも最高に美味しいです。
おかみさんに聞けば色々教えてくれるでしょう、バイタリティー溢れるおかみさんの口上を聞きながら注文したり、お食事を楽しむお店です。
中にはそういうのが苦手なお客様もいると思うので接待などに使うのであれば何度か通っておかみさんと親しくなってからお客様を連れていきましょう。
おかみさんにどれがお勧めですか？と聞くと、『うちの料理は全部美味しいんだよ！』と言われるはずです。是非確かめて下さい。

道の駅くろほねにある うどんとそば主力のお店です。
道の駅に立ち寄った際に、、手打ちの地粉うどんの謳い文句に誘われて、お昼ご飯をここで食べることにしました。地粉を使ったうどんを対面で手打ちしています。二人で訪問したので地粉天ぷらうどん（温）と天ぷらそば（冷）を注文。うどんもそばも通常より太い麺でがコシがあって美味しかったです。天ぷらも大葉、しいたけ、舞茸、さつまいも、なすの5種類が揚げたてでした。値段も800円と900円で天ぷらのボリュームを考えれば安かったと思います。
土曜日の13時30分頃に訪問したのですが座席はほぼ満席で、かなりの常連客もいそうでした。個人的もお勧めします。
また、食事とは別ですが売店で煮玉子が2個110円で売っていて、味付けが今まで食べた煮玉子の中で一番美味しい煮玉子でしたので、そちらもおすすめします。

私はあまり外食を好みませんが、こちらのお店は私が好きなレストランtop5。
行く価値あります。
季節の食材各々の良さを引き出し、口に入れた瞬間、食材の旨味が口に広がり、それは幸せなひととき。
忙しく毎月行けないのが残念ですが、数ヶ月に一度は行きます。
店構えも立派できめ細かな手入れをしていることがわかります。
サービスも良く、働いている方たちの雰囲気が空間に反映されています。
フランスで、美味しいと言われる料理を何度か食べましたが、こちらのお店に勝るお店には未だ出会ったことがないです。
個人的にはこちらのお店は、ムースが一番得意としている気がします。赤ワインの使い方に手こずっている感じが前はしましたが、最近は赤ワインの引き立て方が素晴らしくなってきました。
This place is one of the top 5 restaurants in my lists.
They know the best part of the taste in every ingredients.
I'm sad I cannot go every month (the menu changes every month) but I try to go every a few months to enjoy seasonal dishes.
I can see every details which the shop owner cares like dishes.
I've ever been to several expensive restaurants in France, Tokyo and many places and this place is the best in my opinion.
One note, they don't accept without reservation, you must take a reservation on the phone (no internet service), that might be difficult if you are not Japanese speaker.

I enjoyed sitting on 2nd floor of this old Japanese restaurant with my friends. The atmosphere was quaint and the service was quick. I really enjoyed looking at all the aJapanese antiques in this place. Our group of 5 enjoyed specialty coffee drinks. We were not ready for dinner or we would have had their famous curry. :-) Wish the place would not have been so dark, but I guess if you are there for a romantic setting this would be the place for you. At each Seating area they had a different way to ring for service, totally loved that idea. Shake bells, hit bong with paddle, cow bell, etc. This place is also filled with lots of pictures, toys and old wooden horses, so very cool. Just come in and make yourself at home. Its a place that you don't want to miss out on.
