I've been going to this bakery/cafe for over 17 years now. It's a great place for an afternoon coffee or tea, with one of its many bakery selections. I enjoy sitting overlooking the small lake outside. A peaceful place.
On this visit, three of us enjoyed a quiet break after driving around Nara Prefecture. My companions had Monblanc (correct English?) and I had a Creme Brulee. I've had the same quality of Creme Brulee at other places, but paid about 3x as much.
Had a good Cafe Latte and enjoyed quietly sipping it while looking over the lake.
Was surprised when first entering the place. I had not been here for a few years (it is a drive outside Osaka) and the place hasn't changed (always a good sign) but they did have an even greater selection of bakery goods (another good sign).

丹後半島にある「歌仙」という蕎麦庵で見かけたチラシに。河内にもお勧めの店があると聴き、六年かけて訪れた。応神天皇陵の近く、閑静な住宅街にあって、本当にお店？と思ってしまいます。
蕎麦は福井と岡山蒜山産を使っていると云います。おろしで頂きましたが、黒みがあって腰がある麺は好みです。芯だけをついた蕎麦を好む方があるが、少し野趣味がある黒い方が好みです。連れ合いは、温かい蕎麦を頂いたが、鉢が数カ所欠けていて評価を下げたようです。

Three of us went to Big Joe's for some Japanese Steak! Two of us got the Japanese Burger Patty and it was delicious, but if you are used to more 'western' temperatures, I would recommend at least Medium Well if you don't want a bloody mess. I ate it and it was good, with a great charred flavor, but my wife had to send it back (no issue at all) before she could eat it. My son opted for the Chateaubriand, and he loved it.

道明寺天満宮の真ん前、粋な料亭があります。南河内で気取った席、祝いの席、法事等と言えば先ず、誰もが思い浮かぶと言っても過言では無い。四人程度から五十人くらいまで対応できるが、家族でぶらっと昼食という利用も可能です。
会席には必ず付く、道明寺ゆかりの「道明寺粉」を使った、「甘鯛の道明寺蒸し」は通も唸らせる味です。

駅前の商店街から路地を入ったところに、まったりできるモロッコカフェがあります。チャイや、バナナケーキ、クスクス、タジンなど、メニューも雰囲気があります。今回はチャイを注文。以前、バナナケーキを注文しましたが、手作りの素朴なおいしさです。また行きたいお店です。

I lived in Fujiidera decades ago so we were visiting. It was lunchtime--and raining--so we stopped into Miyamoto Munashi at random. Never been there before. It was perfect fortune. I had wanted curry rice. My wife wanted katsudon. My boys wanted some familiar American food. And I wanted my boys to experience a ticket-purchase restaurant. We got all that in one stop. Oh, and on a steamy hot day the big pitcher of ice cold mugicha (wheat tea) really hit the spot. The food quality was top-notch. Curry is pretty easy, but a good katsudon can be tricky. Miyamoto Munashi's katsudon was perfect. The service staff made us feel welcome. They had English menus everywhere, although the service staff spoke with us in Japanese. I think between the menus and the plastic food outside, a non-Japanese speaker would have no problems. This place was full of local workers at lunch, so you know it's good. Highly recommended.

てっちり1,980円の玄品ふぐ創業(1980年)のお店、大阪藤井寺のとらふぐ料理専門店「ふぐ半」で、唐辛子醤油タレの「炭火焼ふぐ」 分厚い身を白菜と一緒にお刺身と味わう「ぶつ刺し」をいただきました。
