We found this hidden gem by complete chance when we took a road trip along Korea's East coast in May. The nature and coastline in that part of Korea are beautiful, but we had to cook for ourselves most of the time as the only restaurants we could find before were that of crabs, raw fish, etc which are not our favourites. So, here we stop at a Modern sculpture park by the sea, notice a sign of Marine Deck, come to check it without any great expectations, and suddenly find this restaurant with choice of European/Italian foods, overlooking clear blue sea and playing classical music!
What's on the menu: salads (7000 - 12000 KRW), risotto (9000 - 15 000 KRW), pizza (13000 - 22000 KRW), pasta (13000 - 15000 KRW). I liked my fried rice and ricotta cheese salad! Service is friendly and quick. For our baby we were offered a baby chair. Prices are a bit high, but understandable for an Italian restaurant in Korean rural area.
It is located in Beach sculpture park, to get to Marine Deck, go down the stairs just on the sea edge. It is 30 km North from Haeshindang park (phallus park), 30 km North-East from Hwanseongul (Hwanseon Cave), and 2.5 km South from Samcheok Beach. Marine Deck is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area and want a change from Korean food. Bon Appétit and hope it helps!

가격이 다소 저렴한 편은 아니지만 다른 소고기집에 비하면 적당한 편. 게다가 그램수도 안줄여서 양도 많고 고기질도 끝내준다b 특수부위가 있어서 두번좋고 밑반찬이 깔끔하게 나와서 세번좋다. 서비스도 괜찮고 이래저래 소고기는 지금까지 이동네에서 먹어본곳 중에서 제일 괜찮다!!

We were looking for the restaurant in the evening, about 8:30pm in Samcheock. People said that almost restaurants in Samcheock close 9pm, I and my husband called them to pick some foods up. The owner, nice guy was waiting for us and did let us sit on the table. We could enjoy nice foods with wine even it was already closing time for them. Of course, pizza was the best!!!
I really appreciate with kindness and nice food. Strongly recommend!

나가사끼 짬뽕이 제일 맛있는거 같아요, 라멘은 괜찮은데 라멘집이라 그런지 초밥은조금 별로인 느낌이 있어요. 그치만 라멘자체는 국물도 우러난 느낌이 나서 정말 좋아요

지나가다 호프집인줄 알고 기억해 두었다가 시간나는 하루 저녁에 가보니 카페같은 곳이었음. 아기자기한 인테리어 소품들이 인상적이었다. 너무 많다는 느낌도 들지만 서로 잘 어우러지는 느낌. 녹차라떼와 커피도 양이 많고 저렴하였음

각종 해물과 닭의 만남은 금상첨화라고 할 수 있다.
시원함과 얼큼함 덕분에 술안주에 최고라 할 수 있다.
가게가 약간 시끌벅적하여 가족 외식 식사 장소로는 비추입니다.

칼칼하고 매운 장칼국수가 먹고 싶어서 유명하다는 대우칼국수를 갔습니다. 육수는 채소 육수라서 정말 시원했습니다. 칼국수면도 직접 뽑아서 더욱 맛있게 느껴졌습니다. 해장에 좋을것같습니다.

겨울철에만 먹을수 있는 곰치국을 먹으러가니 요즘 곰치가 별로 안잡혀 옆 식당은 곰치국을
팔지 않고 동아식당에서 팔고 있음
김치국물과 어우러진 곰치국은 전날 숙취해소에 좋음
밑반찬인 가자미식혜도 맛있음
