Luckily we were not in a hurry, because the service was quite slow. On the other hand, the appetizers were very good I E baked brie, warm olives, bacon wrapped scallops. All of the mains were good as well, chicken Parmesan,shrimp Alfredo and shrimp linguini. Will probably return but not on a Friday night.

Gus, owner of this marvelous dining spot; and, a friend of many many years, offers only the best in food and service to everyone who dines at The Olde School House. There is nothing negative that can be said about a dining experience at his place, unless you cannot get a table because he is fully booked which is most often the case. Superb in every way....

A really charming old house in the heart of Brantford. They have an inventive, classic Italian menu with unusually engaged staff and an owner. All of the food is really good although sometimes a bit heavy-handed with sauces. I would recommend you go in and try it yourself as the food is defintely worth it and you could even get there by train as the Via station is 3 blocks away.
As the family appear to be Greek, it's too bad they don't run a Greek restaurant as there really isn't any good ones in the area. A missed opportunity to offer delicious and elegant Greek cuisine I would say.

I would like to start with the positives. Our male server was a delightful and professional young man. The appetizers were delicious. The restaurant was clean, spacious and, although busy on a Friday night, not that noisy. The staff who came out with our food were all nice and polite.
Now for the sad part. My husband and I ordered prime rib, light pink. I found the first bite dry and chalky. I thought to myself maybe it’s because I ate the edge first. I was hoping that the rest would be moist. I was mistaken. The entire order was dry and had it not been for the au jus, I would have stopped eating midway. So disappointed.
Next time, we will just go for appetizers which were more satisfying than the entree.

I was beyond craving an excellent Montreal Smoked meat Sandwich combo. Angels always delivers! In more ways than one. As my car was being serviced I needed lunch Delivery and they delivered hot and on time. They forgot the slaw and Pickle, which are cohesive members of the smoked meat harmony. I called back and they willingly and eagerly delivered again. I was so grateful. On top of it they sent a kind note and a treat. Nothing beats a great diner and Angels is great!

Usually great curries at a very reasonable price. Some small things could be improved, however, the service is often non-existent and the restaurant could be cleaned more thoroughly, but the overall food is great with some very interesting curries you wouldn't expect to find in a buffet in Brantford like goat curry and vindaloo.

We have not been here in some time....you were not able to make a reservation for a group on the weekend. Now we called and reservation accepted for a group of 8. We got there around 6:30 place not busy at all, but our service was extremely slow! When it came time to order dinner we had to flag down someone and then the orders show up wrong. While it was all sorted eventually, the same thing happened when it was time to go....bills all screwed up...who knows maybe by not being able to get a reservation in the past was a blessing. Will have to look at the alternatives before we do this again!

I’m getting tomato & basil soup, Caesar salad and half pulled pork Sandwich for $10.99.
Service you wait to be seated staff friendly and polite what’s amusing they have paper tablecloths so if you want to draw you can.
Meal looks good and is enjoyable will definitely come back another time.
