Wow, so glad this place was nearby. Excellent service from the staff, and loved the very traditional design and layout of the tavern.
food here is fantastic, I had the traditional kleftiko, which after over 15 years of travelling in Greece, was the absolute best most tasty kleftiko ever! The portions are absolutely humongous as well!
If you are in Kato Gouves, this is another "must eat at" !!!

Out of 10 nights,we ate there 8 times it was that good. We were remembered from last year,which was nice. Whilst there,I celebrated my birthday,and they presented me with a fabulous chocolate cake. As for recommendations for meals,we just say anything! Traditional Greek food is A1 here,the stifado and kleftico being superb. It's fairly small and you may have to wait to dine,but oh my goodness it's worth it!!!

Came here again lovely friendly restaurant with great staff. Had prawn saganaki and lamb kleftico both lovely but the lamb was a littke too salty but would not stop us going again. Lovely owner gave us a lift. Ack to our hotel what a nice gesture can't wait to go back

Just love this restaurant very good traditional food and friendly staff remembered us from last year. Had lovely saganaki and lamb kleftico was probably one of the best we have had. Then they gave us lovely fruit and raki to finish. We had lovely very cold pints of Greek beer

Well how could I possibly start this review without a mention for the owner, the gregarious, delectable Antonio! Please don’t talk football this guy’s a fanatic! Their fresh daily produce is excellent as is the service and ambience. His wine selection and knowledge is equally appealing.

Tucked around the corner from its more prominent takeaway is the charming Volkana. A stone arch perfectly frames trailing bougainvillea which smothers the courtyard to create an idyllic setting for lunch or supper.
Towards the end of the season Analipsi looks rather down at heel, jaded but still popular, unsure whether to pull down the shutters and sleep until next year or attract the remaining diners. Volkana though is an oasis of summer in the twilight of autumn.
The menu is your standard Greek island taverna, well made and efficiently served supplemented with an extensive array of tasty pizzas. Our mezze starters were really tasty and so too was the carafe of local red wine. For our main courses we had a delightful lamb kleftikos and one of those pizzas with additional seafood. We just about had room for a light but super-sticky shared baclava. It was lovely to see the place full, and even at this time of the year, it says something about the quality. Small, but perfectly formed. Thank you for a wonderful night.

Very friendly staff, fresh food cooked to perfection, nothing is a problem for these people, all the dishes we've eaten here have been great.
As I've said nothing is a problem, the staff go out of their way to make your meal memorable. Eat here and I'm sure you won't regret it. Good value too.

So- Gail and I were in Gouves in June and ate at George's a couple of times.
The staff were lovely and the food was out of this world- Now you have to be careful as there is a lot of food on your plate- best thing is to just let them know what you want and how much-better than a lot of wasted food on your plate.
Nice touch with a free small cake at the end ( if you can manage it ) and always an offer of a free Local drink to end your meal-
Nice location and choice of indoor or out.
Good times.....

This place is a must visit. The food and wine are excellent plus Spyros and Debbie are both provide excellent service and are great fun. The fact that they arrange a local collection and the then drive you back to your hotel or apartment just adds that final touch.

Another unassuming restaurant on the outside, we turned up (12) without a reservation. Luckily being a quieter time of year, the lady was able to find room for us. this tavern is best known for its steaks which looked beautiful. The menu has pictures of most of the dishes to help you out if necessary. I had the mousaka which was very tasteful and authentic and had clearly been made in the tavern (unlike others who buy in frozen). Very yummy.
Staff very welcoming and how the one lady managed to keep on top of all of us and our demands as well as that of other diners was amazing. Highly recommend if in the area.
