I found this resorts from agoda but because we're still unsure about the dates we'll come, I contacted directly to the numbers listed on site. They let me book on flexible dates, confirm the fix dates later, and pay when arrived at hotel. I tell them we're on our honeymoon and ask if they could do special decoration of our room. They said they could do it without any charge, so happy >,< The rooms and facilities are clean and well maintained even during pandemics. I really appreciate it, they're doing their hardworks. The staffs and owner treats us like family/friends. I did my SSI open water course with Peter, and I really enjoyed it, no rush, no nervous, and no disappointment. He told me everything from diving techniques, equipments preparation, history of the diving spots, to numerous information about marine organisms. And also the food from the Bamboo restaurant are so delicious. There are so many options to choose. I have only good memories here. I really hope I can come back here in the future.

A very comfortable place and budget friendly
Reviewed By velajaveStaying here for 4 days and having a really nice stay. I was staying with my friends and taking the family room. The room is very clean and neat. But the family room only have 1 bathroom, so if you are traveling with others and have problems with 'waiting for toilet' you might want to have regular room instead of the family room. They have refrigerator, wardrobe place, giving you coffee and tea. The breakfast are good. Staff are friendly.

Lovely resort but not on the beach
Reviewed By Scuba_EloiseWe loved the resort, but be aware that it is not located on the beach. We were surprise of this as the web site let you think you are on the beach and they take you by truck to go elsewhere. They put you in a truck, along with your gear, and drive you to the beach. Some beaches are really close (2 minutes drive) and some further (10-15 minutes drive). There is a room for cameras, whit power outlets and desks to put them. As for your dive gear, there are no lockers. Your gear is put in a crate on the floor in the main area by the pool. And it stays there when you don't use it, even during the night. The resort is locked at night but all the guests are free to go around in the resort at night. There is a place to hang your drysuit. There are a lot of rincing tanks, which is great. There are two outside showers to rince. When we were there, there was not a lot of guests, so the loading-unloading in the trucks was ok. A big group came in, and things got a bit chaotic, with everyone leaving and coming back, and all the crates of gear lying around. Only one truck can be loaded at once, because there is no room for more. I just can't imagine how it works when the resort is full! We had a dive guide, which was excellent at finding us nidibranches and all kinds of small stuff to see. The minimum regulation in Indonesia does not require that a person is a divemaster to be a dive guide, but a rescue diver. So our guide was a rescue diver, but still they mostly do everything a DM does.

A very good dive resort right by the wreck.
Reviewed By Alex MThis was now our fourth time to the pebble beached sleepy town of Tulamben. As per usual we travel with two growing boys (now 6 & 4) and this time around we dragged their Auntie all for the ride. Our previous 3 trips we stayed at Scuba Seraya and we highly recommend that resort, but we thought we would try something new and stay in town and close to the wreck. After lots of review trawling I ended up at Ocean View Tulamben or OVT from now on. There are tons of good reviews for Liberty Dive Resort and I'm sure it's great BUT they are up the road from the "beach" immediately behind OVT and personally I like staying where I can actually see the sea. Yes the view is restricted from the resort restaurant but at least there is a direct view and you are literally on the rocks. We stayed in the more budget rooms at the top end of the resort in front of the top pool. The rooms are HUGE and clean. And even have a bath all for a bargain price of USD52 per night!! The AC worked great and the staff are helpful. The bungalows down below are really pretty and If I were travelling sans kids I would definitely go for the. BUT when you need 2 rooms the extra cost was a tad much. The bottom pool and restaurant area are really pretty. And we ended up spending much of our time down here. The younger one loved the shallow plunge pool at the bottom. Food at the restaurant was on the whole not bad, some meals definitely better than others. With two very busy kids with dietary restrictions we really do not bother exploring for food! We get the kitchen staff accustomed to what we need and then just stick to it. To their credit the kitchen staff we very accommodating! The only real issue was that they had an extremely limited booze selection!! My wife loves a cocktail to celebrate the sunset but they basically had nothing!! They did have cold Bintang's so I was fine! :wink: One of the main reasons for staying in Tulamben was so that I could take my eldest out snorkeling to the wreck. And man did he love it!! He is so comfortable in the water, a true fish! The wreck is a 50m walk down the rocky beach and then about 100m swim out. On to the diving. Firstly the dive team at OVT are extremely easy going and at your service, we dived when we wanted, how we wanted. We had our own guide and often two of them! They were good spotters, but possibly a tad enthusiastic with the critters and I needed to dial him down a little. You travel out to the dive sites by truck and then either kit up on the rocks and stumble in or they will bring your gear into the water and you can kit up in the shallows...still stumbling around! So this brings me back to my initial question "To back roll or to stumble?". I can honestly say that next time I will likely head back to Scuba Seraya! The hassle of stumbling over those rocks and in the shallows gets old quick!! At Seraya you cruise up to the dive spot and just back roll from the boat! Much more civilized! All in all we had a good time here and would happily recommend it.

Very nice seclusion
Reviewed By Rich_JackaToyabali is a very nice small resort. Private bungalows a very short walk through the lush garden from the main house. Very beautiful pool. It is a short walk across some rocks to get to the main dive site if you go via the shore. Long walk if you go up to the road and then back down. Short walk to the aqua dive shop. The resort can do airport transfers for a good rate as it is a long way from the airport. This is not a big all inclusive kid madness resort. It is a quiet nice, clean friendly small bungalow type resort. Quiet and relaxing with a short walk to excellent dive sites. I would stay again.

Reviewed By aryspradana2019We stayed for one night and we found this accommodation is fabulous. The room was very clean and neat, however the bathroom was a bit difficult to use. They have a bath tub, but when we used it, it ran out of hot water. We use shower instead however it splashed everywhere. It was unfortunate that the restaurant is closed. There is no where near we could find a food for dinner. We have to drive 8km to find a small fried chicken stall and there is nothing else.

Our Standard, Superior and Penthouse Rooms are at our dive centre hotel, right in the centre of Tulamben. Our Beachfront Villa Suites are about 1km out of Tulamben and we provide free scooters or car shuttle to get you to our dive centre and/or local restaurants for meals - breakfast is served at the villas. We recommend the Beachfront Villa Suites for guests who like very quiet accommodation. Both locations are set in tropical gardens with sparkling pools, modern and very clean. All rooms have air conditioning & ceiling fans, hot/cold water, fridge / mini Bar, tea and coffee making facilities, TV with DVD player for playing DVDs (there is no TV program) Our room rates include full, cooked, breakfast - we even have vegemite! Tulamben is a small village, about 3.5 hours from the international airport and famous tourist destinations such as Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, Sanur, and Ubud. The village is almost completely geared towards scuba diving - there is also some snorkeling.

Our guide Jaya taught me so much about photography, even without doing a photography course. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a great diving experience. This is our second time at the Wreck Divers Hotel with the same dive guide and I can't say enough about how great it was. We are experienced divers and this was acknowledged and catered for..

Nice and Cosy!
Reviewed By AstASiszzI love the super spacious room and bathroom. There is a table at one corner that allows me to clean, dry and grease my camera strobe and housing after my dives. The mee goreng that they serve is delicious too. The Indomaret convenient store in just 2 mins walk away. Very walkable to Liberty dive resort to see the sunrise, and also to my favourite Warung Jegeg, which is at the entry point to Liberty wreck.
