Our first visit here. Managed to get on the small car park off Peel Brow It was 2pm on a Saturday so quiet Shown to a nice table with really comfy chairsNice menu but not huge choiceWe both had the special which was parsnip & kale soup with warm bread which was beautifulThen we had the fish and chips and the buttermilk chicken burger and both were lovely We had the 3 cheese âcheese boardâ and a sundae for after , 12Choices of cheese with like a toasted thin âfruityâ cracker and grapes also on the cheese board Got to say the staff which were all mainly young men were friendly and helpful Will definitely return Amazing view from the conservatory at the back which is just uninterrupted views of Holcombe hill

As in my previous review the food and food service were excellent.....but.....it almost seems they don't want paying. Over 20 minutes from asking for the bill to actually paying for the food. Based on the reviews we thought this would be fantastic.Certainly the staff were very efficient and service fast.The wild mushroom starter was delicious.Another starter for 6.5 pounds was three very small chicken wings. I ordered the Hot Roast Sandwich for 12 pounds.Everyone has there own take on this classic favourite meal served around the globe.This version consisted of two slices of lightly flash toasted bread.Three slices of thin cold cut roast beef reheated by the looks under the grill.The beef had a fair amount of gristle in the cuts provided for the meal.A mouthful of fresh salad came with the sandwich.Some very tasty chips came on the side.We asked and received some horseraddish to lubricate the sandwich as dry to my taste.

We had a booked online large party of 15 for Saturday Lunch. When we arrived they had the table for us, however it wasn't written in the normal reservation book. I had the Texas Burger with Fries, very nice and came with Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce.Not a bad experience, I think they just needed more staff to accommodate the numbers customers they had to cover.

Saturday afternoon. Out for a few drinks and feeling peckish. This place has a largish menu, with a specials board, so there's plenty to choose from. We had scampi (which apparently was more than acceptable) and the home made meat pie. Fab service, great food, lovely people and very reasonably priced. We'd definitely come here to eat again.

Nine of visited us in September 19 for Sunday roast and we were well looked after. The roast was excellent, the meat very tender, vegetables and potatoes lovely. We found this place by chance and it was a very happy accident! Itâs got a modern friendly atmosphere and interior, good music playing but nothing too loud that you couldnât hear the person next to you. The drinks were on point and thereâs a great selection of tapas style food! We gorges on about 6 different things - highly recommend the ribs. And they do dessert - just not on the menu. Chocolate fudge cake was a great end to an awesome evening. Check it out next time youâre in town, you wonât be disappointed.

Have been to the Rose and Bowl too many times to count.I have been to other restaurants but always keep going back because in my opinion it is the best eating place around.The state are lovely and keep looking after you. I have also had mum and dadâs birthday parties there and both parents funeral wakes. The staff all looked after us very well I would recommend anytime to anyone wanting a good meal outThank you for our fab 5 star review.I will pass your lovely comments back to our team.We love to hear the feedback from our customers , so it's nice to know we are still getting things right. We went to this lovely resteraunt on a whim the other day and found it changed from pub grub into a real gem. The food was superb and the atmosphere charming. I had a steak which was melt in the mouth and my partner had the fish and chips with a pea puree he enjoyed every mouthful. The sweets were equally marvellous.
