It was a Great experience. Adriano was knowledgeable in the local customs and history which made the entire experience that much better! We had plenty of opportunities for photos in all the must see spots In Rio!!! I don't think there would be a better way to see all the things we were able to see! Adriano our guide was even kind enough to take photos of us along the way. I was surprised but my favorite part of the trip was sambódromo cathedral!!

Hotel pick up was timely in a comfy van. We were then transferred to a bigger bus for the 2.5 hour trip to the port town of angra dos reis. From there we were divided into 3 boats (there were about 30 people in total this day) and we headed out to our first of 3 stops. The first spot was okay for snorkeling...the beach was dirt and littered with plastic and other trash that went into the water, but there was still plenty of fish to see. We had snacks (fries, caipirinhas, crackers, little sweets) and stayed at this spot for about 45 mins. The second site was fun, we docked our boat and listened to music, took pictures with the gopro and jumped into the water for about 25-30 mins. then we went to the spot where we had a buffet lunch and then hiked to up to see an alleged home of Pablo Escobar and take pictures at a vista. We were at the lunch spot for about an hour or more. It was a little boring here because it wasn't really a snorkeling beach, and the water was pretty cold. The beach at the lunch spot was pretty small and there wasnt many activities available besides walking up and down the small beach. Next up is a small beach that we only took pictures by (we couldnt get off the boat). pretty much pointless. The last stop was Lagoa Azul and we snorkeled here for about 35 mins and took underwater pics with the go pro. This spot was the only one that had other people on it besides our tour group. Lots of colorful fish. Then the longgggg 3+ hour journey home. Overall, the guides (our was Caco) were very friendly. The beaches were lackluster to be honest, and the journey there and back took forever. My snorkel broke at the first stop and I wasnt given a new one, even after I asked. This trip is okay if you want to get out of Rio for a day and not do very much.

Our guide, Louis, was brilliant and so were the drivers. They were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The group’s safety if people chose to swim at the waterfalls was clearly their highest priority. Really enjoyable day. The staff at Paraty tours (who run the jeep safari) were also great. I lost something valuable whilst at the distillery, the distillery called the office to tell them they’d found it before I’d even noticed I’d lost it. When I got back to the office, the staff arranged for a driver to go pick it up for me. Overall fantastic service. Only downside was 2 hour break for lunch. Tour would’ve been better as 4 hours without the late lunch stop instead of 6 hours
