Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and Country Park

CUSTOMER NOTICE Coronavirus (covid-19) update Focusing on the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers is our top priority. In line with national guidance and government recommendations we have taken the difficult decision to cancel any events involving the public or large gatherings until further notice. This will mean Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and 1485 Tithe Barn will be closed with immediate effect. Visitors to Bosworth Battlefield, whether they are schoolchildren, historians, leisure groups, families or leisure seeking day-trippers, can experience what this famous turning point in British history really meant. A great day out!

We have just spent a lovely sunny afternoon at Bosworth. The guided tour is a must. With a four and five year old we were worried about whether the tour would be suitable. We didn’t need to. The guide (David) was fantastic - relaxed, knowledgeable and tailored the tour to all ages. We all enjoyed the stories and re-enactment with the flags kept everyone engaged. Something a bit different. Really worth a trip.

King Richard III Visitor Centre

The award-winning King Richard III Visitor Centre is in Leicester city centre, opposite Leicester Cathedral. It has been created around the location where King Richard III's remains were buried for more than 500 years. Using storytelling, design and 21st century technology, visitors can discover the incredible story of the King's life and death, and one of the greatest archaeological detective stories ever told

We enjoyed our visit here very much; the displays give a good context to the Wars of the Roses and the upstairs exhibition, giving details of the archaeological dig and the scientific identification of Richard III's body are particularly fascinating. Being able to see the grave site is a moving experience, especially as you can then go across the road to see Richard III's tomb in the cathedral.

First ever visit here. My girlfriend and I, along with some friends had an amazing Christmas lunch. There was nothing my girlfriend and I could eat as a starter due to food intolerances, so the staff offered us both a fruit salad which was delicious. The main course, which was a carvery was top notch, as was the dessert (we had lemon tart). Delightful venue with staff who couldn't do enough for you. Thank you to everyone for a lovely afternoon.
