Having dined in various ingredible eateries around the world, from 5* luxe to street food stalls, it is rare to find that magical ingredient: the extra special something that makes you returm evening after evening during your holiday.The restaurant at Scaglieri does exactly that - It's the combination of excellent food: fresh, imaginative and cooked to order, combined with the ultra-relaxed atmosphere and excellent views (check out the sunset from the balcony table) that makes you feel a part of the family that run the place. You can turn up wearing shorts and a T-shirt, or dress more glamourously, and many do. Diners chat across tables, everyone is smiling. Most clients appeared to be return customers while we were there, year after year they come back for the warm welcome (there was just one waitress who was almost comedic in her surliness, but that was part of the charm), amazing food and modest bill.Our youngest, who has a learning disability, was spolit rotten too. All children are extremely welcome. Well worth leaving our hotel each night to seek out this gem.Thank you all x

Locale carino per una pizza veloce a ottimi prezzi che si può consumare gratuitamente senza coperto sul posto. La pizza è cotta con forno elettirico e non a legna, cionostante si è rilevata molto buona e quasi "casalinga".

We came here mainly because of the TripAdvisor reviews and we were frankly disappointed. The pizza was fine and they have interesting combinations ("Gingerina", for example), however I found the pizza crust strangely tasteless, as if it lacked salt. Nothing really wrong, but I certainly had better pizzas in Portoferraio.

When looking for a nice meal with two kids wanting italian pizza La Lampara is good and in a way safe choice. Easy to find by the main street and not far from port for farry they serve good Pizza with nice choice of different varieties.On the other hand the see food risotto was quite plane with no really much of see food and not lacking taste of the Mediterranean.So go for pizza and perhaps some other pasta.

Beside a good â¬5 Margherita with real Mozzarella and fresh Basil, the menu is change daily based on the fresh catch of that morning.Nice and friendly people, and the place looked really good. Brilliant view, with a sunset if you time it well.We'll go again.

Abbiamo cenato con schiaccina ripiena e cecina: ottimo! Prezzi veramente concorrenziali: cecina, 2 schiaccine ripiene, 2 birre medie 26â¬!!!! Personale gentilissimo e sorridente! Noi restiamo una settimana all'Elba e sicuramente ci ritorneremo! Bravi

Watch out with this place. We asked for a bottle of wine and they served one more expensive. They charged for things that we hadn't asked for. Be careful with this place. Pizza is just ok Da noi non c'è stata nessuna truffa, il cameriere non ha capito cosa lei voleva, se la caraffa di vino o la bottiglia, ma lei quando ha ricevuto la bottiglia poteva mandarla indietro , non era il vino più costoso Che ha un prezzo di 50 â¬, lei ha speso solo 13 ⬠anziché 9 ⬠per la caraffa, e nel conto non c'era niente che lei non avesse ordinato o mangiato. Quindi prima di denigrare un locale dove si lavora per 20 ore al giorno e scrivere Truffa ci pensi .... Saluti Mangino Vincenzo

Second time we have visited that restaurant. Pizza is good, meat dishes also pretty tasty. I can recommend the "Birra Napoleon", this beer is very good and comes in a big bottle. All in all a nice experience if you don't want a fancy place.

We arrived very late, after 10 pm, and they were pleased to welcome us, anyway. Three of us decided to take pizza and the other two fish: we all have been satisfied of our choice and finally they even offered us their homemade liquor, similar to a mix of limoncello and mint. We recommend to try this place :)

Typical steakhouse food. I'm from Texas so I'm a little more critical but the meat was cooked well done and the potatoes and grilled veggies were good. I ordered the meat sampler and there was a wiener as one of the meats. I tasted it and it tasted like a generic brand wiener. I guess the German tourist are into this??? Skip the wiener and sausages and get the steaks and chicken. The owner only speaks Italian but one waitress spoke 4 languages.
