Great place to walk, with plenty of parking. The walk is easy and enjoyable, with all the walk being on a path. The only thing that lets it down is the part right next to the M62. But you soon forget that was even there when you walk a bit further.

Interesting, exciting and a beautiful glimpse into the way humans and animals will interact in the future, I turned up a bit scared and ended up with a bigger heart, thanks to the great volunteers and the lovely pigs.

Green head park is a lovely location for days out as a couple or as a family. We often take our dogs up here (when it’s quiet) for a nice run around as there is plenty of space and a lovely atmosphere.

Beaumont Park

Reviewed By SLBxo - Huddersfield, United Kingdom

I absolutely LOVE Beaumont Park. One of my favourite places to go for a stroll. Lots of different places to walk and explore, you can even get down to the old railway line and end up finding something new each time! I spent most of my maternity leave walking around this park and my little boys loves to run around and explore — his favourite thing has got to be the waterfall! The views around the park are breathtaking and the recent additions of the Woodland Trail is very entertaining for the children. I would highly recommend following the Facebook page so you can see any upcoming events, such as bacon butty day which is usually once a month: gorgeous sandwiches and the most delicious homemade cakes — all proceeds go back to helping the Friends of Beaumont Park. Enjoying cake and helping a charity; that’s a guilt free dessert in my opinion! My only niggle would be the parking, as it is all on street, it can get quite busy and backed up which can become quite dangerous when drivers are not considerate to residents or other road users.

This is a beautiful place to walk with stunning views once you get to the high points. The paths are quite well worn and there are sign posts so it’s quite an easy place to walk. It’s very blustery on the tops so take something to protect your ears.
