It is the capital of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra Region and has a population of 192,676 (2014 census). It sits at the foot of Jbel Tassemit (2247m), and next to the plains of Beni Amir.

Pour la première fois nous prenons un pizza au Maroc, franchement à éviter. Un fromage qui ressemble à rien et une sauce tomate composée essentiellement dâhuile, seul les morceaux dâolives étaient corrects. Pour lâaddition, la serveuse trouve 68 dirhams, et le patron 100 dirhams, devant notre refus il recalcule et trouvé 70 dirhams. A 3⬠près cela nâest pas très grave, mais la plupart des restaurateurs de Béni Mellal sont honnêtes, donc autant fuite celui-ci.

Nous sommes venus au Snack Sydney sur recommandation, nous sommes très déçus.Le cadre est très correct, mais dans lâassiette cela est déplorable. Les brochettes sont cuites au pétrole, une forte odeur sâen dégage. Les frites molles et les légumes froids.Dâautres restaurant, don le cadre est moins académiques, ont une assiette bien supérieure.

We tried several places to have dinner in Beni Mellal before we found this one.And it is incredible!!!The food is amazing - whatever it is. Good service. Pretty interier. Die warmen Speisen waren in Tontöpfen hergerichtet und schmeckten sehr gut. Fisch, Fleisch, Gemüse und Kartoffeln waren angeboten. Verschiedene Salate und eine Suppe waren sehr schön angerichtet. Getränke waren etwas teuer. Nach dem Essen konnten wir uns auf den Poolliegen ausruhen oder durch die schöne Gartenanlage bummeln.

We stopped here for Lunch on a coach trip on our way to Fez. Really tucked away - would never have found it on our own. Food was good - although clearly to suit our tour operators budget.However, the setting was fabulous. Lovely decorations and thick cushions along the settees. Hard to face getting back on the coach again!!
