Reviewed By Coffee CThe Chada Veranda is an honest mid-range, centrally located hotel, in Khon Kaen City, Isaan, Thailand. This guest-friendly accommodation option, was suggested to me, by a fellow expat and glad I followed the advice, as I really enjoyed my short stay here. Highlights being the economical and hearty breakfast, as well as the magnificent pool. My room was spacious with a big comfortable bed and an excellent television set-up, too. Well pleased with decision to stay awhile at the Hotel Chada Veranda (see my YouTube), in downtown Khon Kaen.

Very good value for money & close to Central Khon Kaen but no food
Reviewed By Andrew GMy second stay here ( last stayed around 5 years ago ) it still remains excellent value for a good clean well equipped room close to the City & Central Shopping Mall. Most of the local restaurants and coffee shops in the area are closed because of covid and general lack of business which impacts a little as the Hotel does not do hot food breakfast nor room service so can be difficult if you want a quick bite to eat in the evenings. Was a little dissappointed that we had paid to stay 3 nights and then decided to stay a further 3 nights - the receptionist on duty confirmed it was ok and asked whether we wanted to pay now or upon check out. I said check out would be easier - the next day returned to our room later in the day to discover that we had been 'locked out' of our room and they had made a phone call to my wifes daughter who is a friend of the owner and asked why we hadn't paid ? !! Absolutely no need for this we are hardly going to do a runner with 2 suitcases full of clothes and other belongings in our room and was annoyed with their attitude to say the least and tarnished our last few days there. Room staff / maids were very helpful and one even ran downstairs with my charger I had left in the room upon checkout.

Comfortable and value
Reviewed By JvhocStayed for four days, clean and good size room, bathroom compact but not too small, quite location, central to main part khon kaen, but need taxi to get around as not walking distance to central, mini mart close by, plenty of car parking, limited English speaking staff on front desk,WiFi worked well, towels were a bit on the replacement side, but still usable.for 550 baht per night can't complain.

High Recommended hotel in Khon-Kaen

Reviewed By John HStayed here a couple of tines now. Staff are friendly and try their best for you (not a great level of English but it is Isaan ?). Rooms are clean, bright and well appointed. Very good value and quite central for bars, restaurants etc. I like staying here ? it felt homely when I arrived this time ?10/10 ?

Great price but getting tired
Reviewed By TheOracleofOzThis was my third stay at this hotel, right in the centre of the area popular with tourists and ex-pats alike. I booked two rooms, one for me and one for a friend who was travelling to the north for the first time. Only a block from the bar strip and many restaurants catering for both Thais and non-locals. It had been a year or so since my last stay and, while the price of 544 baht a night is exceptional value considering the location, it really does need to be freshened up. The year between visits seemed like five: the ancient blankets, the fading paint, the frayed curtains. Poor lift/elevator is still incredibly slow for a six storey building. I have stayed in other places in Khon Kaen and will probably choose somewhere else on my next visit and pay the extra. HOWEVER, the service is excellent and the price and location - even if the hotel itself is tired - give budget travellers an excellent option. Free Wi-Fi, no restaurant, free off-street parking.

Reviewed By Coffee CI discovered this place online, on special at an amazingly economical price, so I took the plunge and reserved my room. Glad I did, as the service was on point, the location is super convenient (walk to transport, markets, bars, restaurant shopping centres etc) and my room just felt like home, albeit a 70s chic abode. the reception staff are smart, helpful and on call 24 hours a day. It is guest friendly and there are laundry machines on site. If you want some beverages just ask the staff. Don't be fooled by the dated facade when you arrive as inside you will quaint charm (see my Coffee Chill TV YouTube Vlog) and well appointed rooms. I am thinking I will be back

Reviewed By W1781FQnicholassWorst bed floors are more comfortable. Stayed there 10 nights and in the middle asked to change rooms to a lower floor because no elevator. Unaccommodating staff. I come to Khon Kaen all the time will not return here.
