Friendly, helpful, convenient , quiet and very clean

For a stay in Havelock when you don't want to use your car and happy for a little walk to centre of town , I think this is the place. Owners very helpful and friendly showed us to our room, milk into the fridge ,air con on. Big bathroom with large bath and powerful separate shower. [Just be mindful that the tiles are slippery when wet- there is a note on the mirror to remind you]. Good sky TV. Had bikes that needed to be stored in their garage - no problems at all . Also happy for us to check out a little late and leave our car while we had a wander round town in the am. Sure to use again

Great to stay with your pets

Reviewed By Susi C

Don't be put off by reviews that this used to be a private hospital. Yes, you can tell that it wasn't built as a motel but the owners have added quirky little things everywhere to make it fun. Most importantly, it is very clean and the staff are so friendly AND your pets are allowed too, which is hard to find. And all that at a very reasonable price in a lovely neighbourhood. For us it was an ideal stop over on our travels further north and we will definitely book again!

Greg and Kendall had 12 of us stay over Marathon Weekend. The cottages worked perfectly for a group of our size and were all clean and in great condition. They have a full lounge and kitchen which is very convenient. Beds and linen all clean and comfortable. The pool and spa is a bonus. The highlight has to be Greg, Kendall and their gorgeous dog Bella though. They are the perfect hosts who help you out when needed but are not intrusive. They are chatty, happy to answer any questions and made us feel at home. Thanks for a great time away.

Loved staying here, peace and tranquility, beautiful gardens surround the property. It’s a bit of an architectural masterpiece and so enjoyable to experience the open plan living, multi aspects and lots of natural light. We were supplied with perfect breakfast ingredients, fab home made bread and muesli, fruits , home made jams etc. Located but the river walk, you could have a pleasant stroll into town in 10 or 15 minutes . We drove to Te Mata peak one evening with very big views and finally visited Ocean Beach for an exilerating swim in the surf
