Reviewed By O1701SOmarycWe stayed here at the end of a three week stay in New Zealand and it was a perfect end to a wonderful holiday. We arrived early but Dale and Margaret were unfazed and gave us a great welcome. The attention to detail was perfect without being overwhelming. We stayed in and ate at the lodge for 2 nights and Dale’s love of cooking was obvious and the meals he produced excellent I went for a swim after walking down to the beach from the house and it was the perfect end to the day. Margaret and Dale make a great team and I would highly recommend the Beach lodge

Reviewed By laraineb2021Were guests at a wedding on 20th March 2021. Stayed two nights. Wonderful hosts. Would recommend the location and accommodation to anyone who wants a lovely place to stay. Drew and Christy were also guests at the wedding and they socially mixed so very well.

Accommodation is set amongst beautiful lush grounds directly opposite the Hauraki Gulf and provides a range of quality accommodation including elevated sea view studio chalets, family room, access rooms and budget style cottages.

Reviewed By LEANNEL78Finally found a motel in Thames that is nice. Good location. Great bed and pillows, very clean. Easy parking and only three minutes from town . Across the road from the beach. The only down sides were, the room heater didn’t work and it was very cold night, luckily the motel sitter found a portable heater that solved the problem. There was also an uncomfortable toilet seat that did not fit the toilet in our room. Minor things. We will definitely be back now that we do not have to stay in old , smelly run down accommodation.

Lovely environment
Reviewed By birchwoodfarmWe spent two nights here. Villa was well layed out and very pleasant with the high ceiling, lots of windows and a shady deck. The gardens have a tropical feel and it is positioned on the esturey. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. It was greatly appreciated to be able to have our dog with us. Two minutes walk to two nice restaurants and the little cluster of shops. Highly recommended. We will be back.

Reviewed By punkingirl2013This is excellent value for a B & B. Close to the town but in a beautiful bush setting with a glimpse of the water. The beds and lounge are warm and comfortable. There are 3 guest bedrooms with a shared bathroom. A lovely hot spa is available for guests to use. Continental breakfast included. Excellent kitchenette for guests to use.
