We went to a wedding at the Castello Formentini and had a most wonderful dinner in the Castle Library. Each course was a visual and gastronomical delight. Service was exemplary. This is a very special establishment that deserves excellent reviews. The Castle Tower suite where we stayed was a once in a lifetime experience. We loved everything about our stay! Magical ! At the present time the hotel is being revitalized but we are looking forward to returning. Many thanks to the Contessa for sharing this wonderful castle.

This restaurant may technically be in Italy, but its menu has clear influences from nearby Austria and Slovenia. The interior is full of fun decorations and the staff wear Austrian dirndl outfits. Lovely atmosphere and good quality food. The free glass of Grappa at the end was a nice gesture.

We're coming here by a co-accident, founded here an charming place with pleasant atmosphere, modern but very cultivated way of serving, excellent balanced tastes of anything we tried ( fish based meals) wide choice of wines. Definitely place where to spend marvelous and romantic evening ... love their thin crusty polenta. Romantic dinner.

We were directed to this lovely venue when touring the beautiful Slovenian wine country. It is a beautiful classic building offering fine dining and winetasting. It is the best place to sample many of the wines produced in this area. We enjoyed tasting and snacking and had a difficult time deciding which of the many fine wines we wanted to bring back to the US. The venue would be suitable for weddings or conferences as well. The drive to reach it was beautiful and the castle was a delightful reward. If you are visiting Slovenia, we highly recommend spending a day here.

My husband and I have frequented this restaurant over many years and always come away with very full stomachs and the warmest feelings about the people and the place. We have brought Italian friends with us also (from Pordenone and Monfalcone) and although very different in their tastes, all have enjoyed it as much as we have. The food is regional, from locally procured ingredients and prepared with great care and pride. It is delicious food in a splendid environment. Although we love eating at the wonderful and sophisticated restaurants in and around the Collio, this one is my own very favorite and I will go again and again.

Siamo capitati per caso, a pranzo. Il posto era pieno è molto cortesemente ci ha. O chiesto se volevamo mangiare dentro o fuori vista la bellissima giornata. Il cibo buono, ma non lascia il segno. Servizio gentile e prezzo adeguato. Siamo stati bene, se siamo in zona magari ci fermiamo ancora...ma difficilmente ci andremo di proposito.

After 10 years traveling abroad I came back for a family venue to Vogric. As a little fairy tale, this nice typical restaurant lies in the peaceful hills of the Slovenian border up to Gorizia. Do not ask for a gourmet Michelin-starred restaurant, but the simplicity and the dedication of the chef is absolutely amazing.The food is fresh: pasta, lasagne, crespelle, palacincas are all hand made and tasteful.I recommend the home suggestions, which is basically a taste of three pastas with different sauces. Grilled meat is the core food of this restaurant. You can also opt for gulasch or stuffed wild boar, all is amazing.I would recommend thus restaurant for a super kind personnel, for ever delicious meals and the tranquility of the location.

This lovely restaurant, tucked in the hills of SanFloriano, specializes in what Americans refer to as âfarm to tableâ. As an American and Italian couple, we offer a good perspective, and DVOR does not disappoint! We chose the fixed price tasting menu, which included local favorites and beautiful presentation. A great appeal is the wide assortment of Collio wines by the glass, reasonably priced, allowing a wide variety throughout the meal. The service was wonderful and attentive, and the chef served several courses himself. Highly recommended!Thank you very much for your beautiful review! A spacious restaurant that can accommodate guests both inside and outside. Brief menu mostly based on local Italian and Slovenian cuisine. Kids would love their playground which is amongst grass and tall trees. The meal was fantastic and the only reason it takes a bit longer for it to arrive is because it's freshly made. No frozen meal reheated!!! We had the traditional Slovenian gnocchetti. And another heavenly pasta plate. All freshly cooked. The sweet also heavenly. The wine pure nectar, the environment beautiful, the staff helpful and friendly. All wonderful!based on local Italian or Slovenian cuisine
