We've been here for lunch. They offer both the set menu and a la carte. We chose from the set menu to make it faster and really liked both the taste and presentation. The local wines are super. Definitely worth visiting.

It was very late, dinnertime, during the Autumn Fair, we were immediately served, a fixed menu based on Sicilian foods and we chose the normal menu. A very good meal for us 4, with a touch of something "different", not the usual agnolotti! Pleasant, friendly service The trattoria is spacious, on two floors, clean bathrooms and a small space in front. Pizza served as well, we chose a very good fish menu. Prices in the normal.To be revisited!The trattoria is situated on the main-road outside the lovely medioval town of Avigliana, 20 minutes from the Sacra Saint Michele

I went to Sottosopra once again with a large group of family and friends. It's always a great place to have a great dinner in a relaxed atmosphere, where nobody cares what you're wearing, how drunk you are and how much food you managed to fit in your belly. The food is simple, traditional and consistently excellent, and very good value. It's always busy and loud, so keep that in mind - book a table and donmt go if you're not up for the mayhem!

If you can survive the challenge of saying in the same sentence "La Burnia in Via Dubriaglio", then you'll discover a very tasty traditional and local cuisine.The host is a very nice person: so warm, and funny, and able to make you feel at home.The food is just delicious: amazing variety of dishes of any kind, exquisite appetizers, entress and meat. Hard to say no to anything!And if you're vegetarian or vegan, no problem, they also have a wonderful choice of veggie foods as well.Try ti taste a little of everything and you'll be ehtusiast just like me.Final surprise: the price. Amazingly low.

This restaurant looked closed but we rang the bell on the advice of two local residents. So glad we did.There were six of us, including two children, and the food was excellent, the house wine very nice, the setting charming and very elegantly set for lunch. The service efficient and warm. Would love to come again, and again....I agree with other reviewers that the antipasti is delightful if you want a light lunch, otherwise it is well worth ordering the degustation menu. A hearty bowl of pasta might also help you to get up the mountain to see the monastery! The town of Avigliani is small and charming.

Nice brew pub located in the center of Avigliana with seating inside and outside on the main square. Their main feature is definitely the selection of beers as they are the brew pub of a local drafter (LaVal.) Food choice is excellent and staff is very very friendly. Parking is not a problem but the place is usually crowded - a reservation may be needed, especially on weekends. Must try!

Situated close to the main medieval square in the centre of delightful Avigliana. The restaurant is small and intimate, with real character. It offers a choice of set menu's including children's, plus a la carte. We arrived for lunch, and chose the tourist menu of the day. A good range of wines is offered, we chose the house Nebbiolo, which proved to be a fine choice, with fruit and structure.The food we chose was relatively simple, but perfectly cooked and presented. We also felt compelled to have a dessert too, again this was excellent.The young waiter spoke English, and could not have been more helpful. We will not hesitate to return when we are back in Piedmont, and try the full a la carte menu for dinner.

Location moderna dall' arredamento ricercato, servizio di sala impeccabile e uno chef giovane e preparato che crea dei piatti innovativi dal sapore unico, presentati benissimo! Ottima carta dei vini e rapporto qualità /prezzo eccellente! Finalmente un ristorante in provincia di Torino che fa la differenza, soprattutto per chi come noi si trova in Val Sangone ed è stufo dei soliti posti che propongono piatti banali e che non sanno esaltare il sapore dei vari ingredienti presenti nel piatto... 10 e lode, complimenti!

Arrived just about 7 in the evening, asked for English language as my Italian is poor. Been pointed the worst table by the cook! Asked for drinks, my beer was off so asked the front of house staff who arrived by then to replace it, what she did, but the cool was moaning about it behind the bar! Food was ok, as we were starving, but with a service like this do not really wanted to stay. One positive thing was the nice picture on the way to the toilette!Dear customer,your review perplexed us. The only thing we're able to recognize is the portrait you've published, which represents a vintage print. For the rest, every single word you've wrote doesn't match with our customs. Since 1987, we have a dedicated English menù and every single person of the staff can speak English fluently. We strongly believe in the importance of hospitality, especially when our customers come from abroad. The large staff you were talking about in the review doesn't match with the staff actually at the service of our customers and the service we offer to our customers is definitely different from what the other reviews say about us.What does it mean you were the worst table in the restaurant? If you came to visit us in one of our crowded evenings, without any booking, you probably took a sit in the one of the last available tables. You've said you can't speak Italian fluently and that you can only express yourself in Enlish but you've firmly confirmed that your request (an other beer) have been received in a bad way from the guy assigned at the bar service. Have you thought about the fact that the possible (but not certain) displeasure of that guy wasn't connected to your request? It could have been connected to the made mistake; or it could have been connected to something else (especially if, as I was saying before, you came to visit us in a crowded service). Looking at your Trip Advisor profile, I can see you gave excellent reviews to a lot of other restaurantes and places: we seem to be the worst one ever. You came to visit in July 2015: why have you decided to review us just now, 2 months later?
