Located next to the riverside with a view of the small city of Bukit Lavang. Part of a hotel of the same name. The food is decent and cheap. The fresh juices are good. Wifi is working well; one of the few places in town. A nice place for foreign tourists.

We originally planned to spend 3 days in Bukit Lawang and ended up spending 13 days there due to the friendships formed at Ricky's Bar. From a friendly comment we had made on their Facebook page before we arrived saying we must visit this bar for the great music; they happily welcomed us in with smiles, kindness, happiness and laugher.Ricky personally meets and greets everyone that comes through the Bar which was really lovely, and Jefry who is the funniest and fastest barman we have ever met, provided the best bar service. The live music is was Fantastic and we had so much Fun dancing up a storm. The band also encourage people to get up and sing with them. Also anything you need; Jungle Trek, River Rafting etc can all be organised at Ricky's Bar, nothing is too much trouble for this great bunch of guys. We have already planned to go back next March as Bukit Lawang is one of the most beautiful and unique places we have ever visited .. Stayed in Ida guesthouse (highly recommend for backpackers and those who want stay on budget or are happy with clean and basics) and dined at their restaurant.The cook was great and took to heart all my wishes (I'm vegan and exclude some other foods, so I was given some extra ingredients for substitute). Food was delicious! Big portions compared to other restaurants.They really want to make customer happy. :) Big plus!

This restaurant is in a fantastic location and a really interesting and fun building construction. Also, really good to see an Eco Restaurant doing the Eco thing properly. In truth we found the food and menu to only be ok, but this restaurant is still a must visit for the atmosphere.

At Yusri you will meet inspiring fellow travellers and eat great food. It's an excellent spot to relax before and after the trek. Rita and Yusuf are both beautiful people. They offer jungle treks and provide accomodation, too.Terima kasih, Rita and Yusuf!

The vegetable tempe curry was delicious, fresh and full of local herbs and spices. My husband had the tofu Tempe curry and it was also tasty but had no vegetables in it. Service was very slow but that's the way here. It was worth the wait. Sit back and enjoy the Bintang and view

We ordered four Indonesian dishes and all were special - especially the tempeh. We are planning to go back tonight for dinner. Bonus was watching monitor lizards frolicked across the river.

We came to Green Hill as it was one of the few restaurants that served rendang, a popular local curry/stew dish without pre-ordering. We ordered the chicken and tempeh (similar to tofu) rendang. Both were super tasty and delicious! The spices in the rendang was rich and tasty, suitable for those that canât take the heat. The food was also affordable which was a bonus.Love it and highly recommend it.

Had dinner here and loved the food. Also loved that they played good music,even from Holland. Yellow curry was great! Lawang tea was a bit strong, so I would take everything out earlier next time
