Taste of India is a new restaurant in High Wycombe, opened by pioneers of the Indian Curry Revolution in the UK.We prepare pure Indian food using spices and ingredients from diverse parts of India, following our traditional recipe.
We just gave it a try.....we live in Amersham and we were all really impressed by the choice and freshness of the food. Nan bread cooked when we were ready so it was super fresh and warm.....even fresh watermelon afterwards which was really refreshing. We will definitely be back as it was great value and delicious. Staff smiley too!

We went for dinner so missed out on the lunch deal and would have been better to see the thames in the daylight but another time!Very attentive service but then again only a few tables were occupied. Everything we ate was very tasty and filling. Sadly no room for pudding. The tasting menu looked nice if we would have had more appetite. It was expensive just with mains and sides considering we did not have drinks.

Since opening in 1982, Spice Merchant Cookham (formerly Cookham Tandoori) has earned a superb reputation for fine Indian cuisine in Berkshire. As the eldest restaurant in the group, Cookham initiated the success for Spice Merchant Group and continues to d
After our last visit some time ago we were reluctant to re-visit as going back to a 5star place often disappoints, it didn't at all.Warm welcome into a busy place, slightly different choices on the menu so it took sometime to order but they were patient on a busy evening when others would want to rush you through to get the next people in.Reasonably priced drinks wine very drinkable. The starters looked overpriced and we thought they were cashing in on the good reviews but when they arrived the size of the chicken portions took us back. Each of us had three large pieces of chicken enough to constitute a main portion. We tasted each others and both thought the meals were excellent each had its own taste and was really fresh tasting.Mains and side came in a reasonable amount of time. Again the quality of the food was excellent. The tandoori roti was impressive and everything else was beautifully presented and cooked. The quality of the ingredients stands out whether its the tender chicken or lamb, the excellent spices or simple things like the bread. We will return, yes, but probably on a weekday evening when they are not quite so busy.Dear GreyTrippers,Thanks so much for your thorough review- your comments are really appreciated.Itâs always so nice to hear feedback from returning customers. We look forward to your next visit.Kind regards,Spice Merchant Group

The food here is incredible! You will not find any chicken tikka masala or madras as the menu is entirely different and features authentic South Indian dishes only.Everything is delicious and presented beautifully. If you order popadoms you will find they come in different types and shapes and taste !My wife had a fish masala curry and I had a spicy chicken curry both of which were superb. For a side dish we had a very unusual dish of crab and peas which was excellent.I have eaten in many Indian restaurants but this was definitely one of the very best I have ever eaten in as was the food. The service is outstanding and completely by surprise the waiters brought out a birthday cake for me ( along with singing happy birthday!) as my wife mentioned it was my birthday treat.I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough !We will be back for certainDear Dennisogara,Thank you very much for your kind review! It means a lot to us that you thoroughly enjoyed your experience with us and found us to be recommendation-worthy. Team members were very delighted to note that their efforts were recognized. Amazing food and great service. Possibly the best Indian Iâve had, including eating in New Delhi. Portions are not large but possibly the best flavours and quality of food Iâve ever experienced so totally worth the money. I live many miles away but will definitely return to eat here and experience the great flavours and service again.

We have been a few times and always found the food and service good. Unfortunately on two occasions we have had to query our bill which was obviously overcharge. Hi, Sorry to hear that. Do apologies & if you have any details of those bills than I am happy to recheck them. Will sort that out. Please you can contact with me directly on 07414525022. Thanks

Took my family to the restaurant in Bourne End because i have had several take aways from the one in Flackwell Heath and all I can say itâs worth the trip from Oxfordshire, the King Prawn Shashlik is amazing along with the Chicken Tikka. The service was very efficient and we enjoyed the experience and will certainly be returning. Well done guys!

Indian Restaurant.
I always find it difficult to choose what to eat at this restaurant as they have a large selection of items on the menu. All the dishes are really good and because of that you want to order one of everything. Thatâs why luckily the staff here can be relied upon to choose for you and this time, once again, they chose some great dishes. When you want to try everything itâs great to get a custom platter of a wide selection of grilled items each one cooked really well and full of flavour. The curry dishes also were packed with flavour and just at the right spice level. The naan here is the best naan I have had at any Indian restaurant, soft, light and tasty without any hard burnt bits. I could have eaten 10 of them. Again the selection chosen by the owner was perfect for the curry, garlic and cheese. This was a great meal and the two people I bought here were equally impressed with the taste of the food.

Community owned since February 2013, this well loved Victorian Inn situated in Hedsor Road, Bourne End offers a great selection of cask ales and fine wines. Food is fresh, locally-sourced, home-made pub favourites all to be enjoyed in the warm, cosy bar a
We called in here for a meal after visiting Cliveden and from the moment we opened the door the welcome was friendly. The new owners have refurbished the place and are great hosts. We ate a delicious meal - there is a decent choice on the menu and the portion sizes were perfect.
