August 26, 2022 Kaleigh Reichenbach

From the bustling charm of Galway City to the rugged, otherworldly Burren, Western Ireland offers a wonderful wealth of experiences. Exuberant Galway, City of Tribes, packs summers with festivals and packs pubs with locals and visitors. Westport is another charismatic town, full of colorful shopfronts, pubs and great restaurants. The near lunar landscape of the Burren delights with its unexpected flora. Don’t miss its Stone Age burial monuments, fishing village Ballyvaughan or cheerful Lisdoonvarna.

Just back from 2 nights at the Plaza with our 2 kids (aged 10 and 7). We had a wonderful time. We had dinner in the hotel both nights and the food was absolutely delicious. Leisure centre facilities, the pool, sauna, jacuzzi, etc were great - especially when we had a rainy few days. All staff we met in the hotel, without exception, were friendly, helpful and professional. Would definitely return!

Family Reunion

Excellent all 'round experience staying at Westport Coast Hotel on the June bank holiday weekend. We have stayed in the Westport Plaza sister hotel in the past, but the Quay proved a better location for most outdoor activities. Starting with the Group reservations team, the staff in the Reception, housekeeping, Bar/brasserie and rooftop restaurant could not have been more engaged or helpful. Hamid the restaurant manager and Fiona overall/reception manager ensured our large family group spanning 7 decades were well looked after. The swimming pool, spa and treatments were great. The few changes I would suggest to enhance the guest experience would include adding a vegan dessert option, specifying allergens on the individual menu items and improved signage for the hotel carpark.

Lovely hotel with excellent service. After riding the bikes the hot tub and sauna were a welcome relief. The hotel grounds were lovely. The room had a beautiful view of the bay and was well appointed. The dinner was also excellent. It was our second favorite on the whole trip. I had their Cod entree and my husband the pork. Both entrees were delicious as was the appetize and desserts.
