During this time, everyone at the Hotel was extremely caring, accommodating and attentive. The owner, staff and family all contributed to making my stay as comfortable as possible and exceeded my expectations. The hotel is beautiful and impeccably clean with a family-like atmosphere. The worst ever
Reviewed By lali2We booked this place travelling back home from Sicily to Rome. For one night 150 Euros. Arriving, the owner asked us each 10,00 euros service fee for swiming pool, tennis, light, and gas. mind you we arrived at 20.00 and had to check out at 9.00. Leaving us no time to play tennis or use the pool. Then an extra 10 euros per person for sheets and an extra 10 euros for towels. Even after speaking to him, explaining our situation that we were only travelling through and had no intention to use the kitchenette (which by the way was in a t errible state).... no way he insisted. The mattresses were so old you felt like falling down on the floor through the bed. Overall the most horrible place I ever stayed.

La mia struttura e' una villa del 1930, immersa nel verde con piscina , totalmente ristrutturata nel 2017 anno in cui l'ho presa in gestione. E'ubicata in una zona panoramica con ampia veduta del mare e del porto turistico situato a circa 100 mt. in linea d'aria. Si trova a 400 mt. dal centro di Vibo Marina, 800 mt. dalla stazione ferroviaria di Vibo Mariana, e 4 km dalla stazione ferroviaria di Vibo -Pizzo. L'aereporto di lamezia terme si trova a 28 km e 25 km da Tropea.
Terrible stench of smoking and dogs!

The place smelled of cigarettes (which the owners smoke continuously) and of their 3 large dogs that the kept inside. Some of the quilt covers were full of the dogs' fur. The place was otherwise clean. The air conditioners/heaters were not all functioning leaving some rooms too cold to sleep comfortably. I definitely do not recommend staying in this B&B, especially in winter as I suspect that the place did not have guests for a while and the owners weren't expecting anyone before we called them the night before.

Oasis in the night

We saw signs for this place, and although difficult to find inn the dark we pleased with the find. The gentleman at the front desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. They made a room up for us in 10 minutes. It was large with balconies either side. Very clean and comfortable. We had a late dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. The wait staff couldn't have been friendlier. It turned out to be a fantastic find. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Only 150 metres from the public beach, Hotel Barbieri is 1.5 km from Vibo Valentia Marina and 11 km from Vibo Valentia's town centre. It features a restaurant and offers free Wi-Fi in public areas. Rooms are modern and bright, and each one is air conditioned. Facilities here include a small furnished balcony overlooking the sea, plus an LCD TV. All bathrooms are private and en suite. Breakfast at Barbieri Hotel can be served in the furnished garden during summer, and savoury food is also available on request. The restaurant is open for dinner, and light snacks can be enjoyed at the bar until 23:00. The bed and breakfast is 3 km from Vibo Marina Train Station and Port. Tropea is a 20-minute drive away.
Pleasant Stay.
Reviewed By Malcolm KA friend we were travelling with booked 4 of us here for 5 nights, so not sure what to expect. A very pleasant, family run business with on-street parking (we were told that you could park within the hotel area at extra cost but the space is restricted and we didn't have any problems parking opposite the hotel). The hotel is marketed as 'Bed & Breakfast' but with due notice you can arrange an evening meal cooked by the owner's brother - very capable cook. Fish variations are the main options (with the usual pasta dishes) and the produce is brought in fresh - hence the need to book in the morning. We enjoyed some very pleasant meals served with local wines, competitively priced. Breakfast was limited to cereal, croissants and cake (no cold meats or cheeses) with a range of coffees and red orange juice. Two of us stayed in a room with large double bed and separate single bed - very clean with full sheet/pillowcase change within our stay. A small balcony overlooked the adjacent property. There was an en-suite shower room (with bidet) - the towels had seen quite a bit of service but again, fresh and clean. Tablet soap provided with combined shower gel/shampoo dispenser. The external seating area is very pleasant (nicely shaded in the afternoon) with gated access to the nearby beach (towels provided for bathing on request). Igor (the dog) can be a little vocal but not enough to disturb a night's sleep (although the beds are a bit hard). The staff are very pleasant, making for a friendly and competitively priced stay.

Reviewed By LikesGoodMealsWe had a room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. The check-in is at their bar and we had nice cold beer on arrival. The room was nice and clean. They also included breakfast and the WIFI connectivity was great.
