Vibo Valentia (Italian: [ˈviːbo vaˈlɛntsja] ( listen)) is a city and comune (municipality) in the Calabria region of southern Italy, near the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the capital of the province of Vibo Valentia, and is an agricultural, commercial and tourist center (the most famous places nearby are Tropea, Ricadi and Pizzo). There are also several large manufacturing industries, including the tuna district of Maierato. Very important for the local economy is Vibo Marina's harbour.

I went recently with some friends of mine and I found the service excellent. The antipasti delicious, the pasta tastefull, the seafood with a real taste of the mediterranean sea. Eventually I decided to taste the cannolo scomposto, a sort of sicilian cannolo with same original ingridients but with different form. Amazing experience for my tongue up to my brain! Very very good experience, even when I paid for me and my friends. Good balance between price and quality. I do really suggest to everyone travel around Calabria, the toe of the Italian boot.

Our lunch at "Da Bartolo" was very nice - the restaurant has an interesting menu (with quite unusual dishes) and pleasant atmosphere. The service was quick and the dishes were great, especially Erbette Ammollicate and Trippa con patate. Desserts (we've had tiramisu and panna cotta) were also delicious.

The restaurant's views could not be beat. Situated right on the beach, both lunch and dinner offered a beautiful view (we went for both). The air was fresh and the water was crystal clear. Very professional service. The meal was exquisite. From appetizer to dessert, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

We have been to this great amazing restaurant in January 2015 with our family.
We have enjoyed extremely pleasant atmosphere and really really delicious food!
You can choose anything you want and you won't be disappointed, you will love it..... Just like us!

Today we visit this restaurant at the second time ,the first was at August 2015 ,our visit today was as accepted "wonderful l!!!!"

Ci siamo recati in questo grazioso locale seguendo le recensioni di TripAdvisor ne non siamo rimasti delusi anzi!!! L' accoglienza del titolare e' stata calda e accattivante nonché,' estremamente garbata...in attesa dell'esito portate abbiamo così scoperto la sua grande passione per la botanica e, evento eccezionale, potuto osservare la fioritura della Pitaja.....evento che si verifica una sola volta all' anno della durata di sole poche ore. Mactorniamo alle portate...ottimo antipasto di pesce caldo preparato davvero con fresco....linguine allo scoglio veramente valide ecuno spada tenero e succulento per nulla stopaccioso....sempre il titolare di ha deliziato anche se non richiesto, di un assaggio di scampi alla griglia veramente da favola....il prezzo e' senz' altro onesto e invita a tornare....non si vede il mare ma in fin dei conti e' pur sempre un grazioso giardino di verde che sprigiona natura....tranquillo e veramente da consigliare anche se ci e' parso, inspiegabilmente bistrattato dai locali che preferiscono locali piu' di impatto ma certamente con la veduta inserita velatamente nel conto finale.....bravi, torneremo il prossimo anno!!!

We stayed overnight in Vibo and had dinner at this terrific restaurant. They certainly serve more than pizza (which is delicious) and do a wonderful job on whatever we ordered. They are helpful with English and just a very nice staff. Highly recommend this Pizzeria if you are anywhere near this area....you won't be sorry.
