A pleasant stay in Trenčín
Reviewed By Jaroslav Tpros: Stayed here with my friend for a long weekend. We liked the overall cleanliness. Our suite room was spacious and nice designed. The suite also comes wit a huge bathroom incl. hot tub and hairdryer. There is a big flat TV in the room. The double bed was very comfortable even for a person like me (6,5 ft). We enjoyed the breakfast. It was nothing groundbreaking but good enough for a 3* hotel. And all fresh. All staff was extremely kind and helpful. Which is a big pros. cons: In our room 208 the hot tub was out of order. We have been told the guests don´t know how to use it and damaged it all time. So the hotel shut it off. I was a bit disappointed about it. There is a TV guide for the channels in the room. But you will find only Russian TV channels there. Some others were not available.

A choice worth considering in Trencianske Teplice, something different from the main hotels
Reviewed By AFCWWe were very happy to have stayed at Villa Carpe Diem, it is a charming and welcoming place, and something very different from the grey looking Communist era hotels situated on the main street in Trencianske Teplice. Be warned that the slope up to the accommodation is very steep, so if you have any mobility/walking issues this is probably not the right place for you to stay. The slope was even quite steep for the car, and manoeuvring into the parking spaces was a little tricky with the slope looming, it would probably not be suitable for a less than confident driver. I certainly would not wish to drive up and down the slope in icy or very wet conditions. Having said that, we were grateful for the free parking, there are maybe 10 or so spaces. Other reviews mentioned that you are away from the town and on the edge of the forest and countryside. I imagined beautiful views, but from our room, the forest was almost right outside the window, so we were looking into darkness and trees, almost a bit spooky in the pitch dark! The location did have positives though, it was completely silent outside the window at night. The walk down the slope to the main street was a short one, we were there in probably just 5 minutes, so do not let the location put you off if you are able to walk ok. The two main plus points for us were the host and the breakfast. The host was a very nice guy, making jokes, but making sure we were welcomed and looked after at the same time. The breakfast was without question one of the nicest I have ever experienced, we had a very large tray of cheeses, hams, salami, salad, breads, etc waiting for us on our table in the breakfast room, everything very fresh and presented beautifully, they clearly take pride in their breakfasts here. On the second morning, eggs were cooked to order. Also coffee, tea, juices, fruit, yoghurts, etc. I would stay here again for the breakfast alone :-) The guest room was maybe slightly dated, but everything you need is there, and everything was spotlessly clean. I highly recommend staying here, as long as you can handle walking up and down the slope.

Reviewed By Camiloo0035Very good room rates, considering the famous site of the guesthouse, near monuments and ZOO. Although I spent just one night in this guesthouse, it left a very good impression on me.On arrival, I was welcome by a nice and helpful receptionist, who explained me everything, and check- in was without a problem. I rate the rooms positively, large bed, storage space, bathroom, just fine. What was important to me, that the room and bathroom were clean. Dinner was tasty, portion just right. Breakfast was plentiful. Some pastries, salami, ham, vegetables, I could choose. For me a cool stay, I have nothing to reproach.

Reviewed By bronkayWe visited the penzion two mums and four children. Children can swimm in theit biopool. We really enjoyed exclusive dinner and breakfast in Metidiana restaurant. It´s better not to eat before their dinner. New, modern, clean, kind people, nice surroundings. And a lot of fun in Bojnice city. Go and enjoy!

Reviewed By BigCheeseOxfordSuper clean. Very conveniently located, near to restaurants but not so near that it is noisy. Short walk to Zoo and wonderful swimming pool complex. The owner could not be more welcoming. Good air con and small kitchenette adequate for snacks and warming food. Loads of storage space. Slightly tricky parking, but again owner is very obliging, you can park in courtyard. Fabulous breakfast, as much as you want with yummy extras like home made cordials and jams. Great for kids. Superb!
