Reviewed By ThatBritishCoupleThis place was seriously special. It was hotel 2 of 3 on our honeymoon and gave us 3 nights of absolute tranquility, luxury and mindfulness. From the moment you arrive through the bamboo arch driveway, you know you're arriving somewhere special. From that moment on it's hard to describe just how meticulously well curated our experience was but we both said it felt like we'd just had 3 days of rehab we didn't know we needed. Everything slows down. Anything outside the grounds of Nirjhara ceases to exist. It's like a JJ Abrams interpretation of heaven. Everything immaculately designed, carefully considered and in its place. Clean but not clinical and though unlike anything else we saw in Bali, it still fits perfectly. Our canopy suite was just incredible. Arguably for homely than our own home and certainly not just a place to sleep and freshen up. The loveseat on the roof terrace makes the perfect evening escape to listen to nature and believe it's just the two of you. The chlorine free pool can easily consume your day with it's gorgeous views of the waterfall (and cheeky little cave where a beautiful lizard pops out for its daily hunt), comfy sun loungers and great hospitality. The yoga barn sits on the river and the sound of rushing water from the fall is the perfect soundtrack to your session. The restaurant is beautiful to enjoy a meal at any time of day. We expected to go exploring for lunch and dinner but we didn't want to leave. Delicious food and well-crafted cocktails. The cinema room is an extra special addition and a nice option for something else to do in the evenings. And then there's the people. The reception staff shoot a smile and warm conversation every time you walk past. We'd often opt to walk the slightly longer route to the pool or restaurant because we knew it would take us past Putu at the boutique. She is the most beautiful soul who has a magical way of making you feel so special and a quick hello with her was always a highlight. One of the loveliest people we met all honeymoon. Cyntia was one of our favourite servers in the restaurant, always coming with a warm smile and making us feel truly welcome. Tao is a great guy and lead some beautiful yoga classes, correcting our postures when necessary and ending each class in a beautiful way. His beach boot camp was also great fun. The bar team knocked out some delicious drinks - the Pohon Tua was a particular favourite. Honourable food mentions go to: The sambal which came with bread each night. I always asked for more and could have it with almost any meal. The home-cured Salmon Chocolate fondant Pisang Goreng with coconut sorbet Smashed avocado Finally, General Manager Alejandro was the warmest of hosts, personally welcoming us and showing us to our room as well as checking in on us every now and again when he saw us in the restaurant. Bali Beach Glamping is an amazing beachfront resort that specialises in hosting weddings and other events. Located just 25 minutes north of Canggu. The resort has a large lawn area ideal for wedding ceremonies, parties, yoga sessions etc. The infinity pool looks out on the Indian Ocean. It’s west facing position makes it the ideal location for taking in a romantic sunset. Other features include a beach club, restaurant, spa and gym. Food, beverage and spa services are offered at reasonable prices to resident guests and visitors. With 40 luxury air-conditioned luxury tents we are able to accommodate 90 guests in total.

Lovely people! Idyllic location and a truly authentic experience

Yoga and Tai Chi were really enjoyable and both of us, being beginners, found it easy enough to follow along. Instructors were clear, patient and motivating. Although the heat didn't help at times. The staff here make it for me. Cannot stress enough how welcoming, kind and attentive everyone is. Truly go above on beyond to make us feel at home. Treated as one big family. Nice home-cooked meals and catered for my partner who is vegan. Owner is very down to earth and enjoyed numerous conversations about local culture and what life is like here as well as how they strive to involve the local community in their authentic set up. Be prepared to be fully immersed in the countryside as the location is totally remote. This comes with its benefits and drawbacks. Of course the place is beautiful and tranquil however the location was quite daunting for us at first but soon got settled in. Looking back I would have packed a few more items such as snacks for in between meals as the itinerary is pretty packed and there are no shops nearby. We also had a couple late night visitors to our room in the form of 2 Tokay geckos. Harmless, however we were worried about them falling during the night and waking us up. Staff were on hand quickly to help our previously failed attempt at polite removal. We stayed on-site and the room was a little basic compared to our expectations, in need of a lick of paint / deep clean in places however in keeping with the simplicity of the environment. Beds were quite hard however were equipped with mosquito nets, to fully cover the bed (we needed to lower these slightly to reach). Overall a fun, peaceful and wholesome experience of which we both thoroughly enjoyed.

Reviewed By Will WWe stayed for four days in August, we where the only guests which has a bonus , all to ourselves. The rooms are good and comfortable,the view from the tower is stunning at sunrise. The food was good ,limited due to availability and location but fresh, the staff are happy and friendly. Massage is available ( Lucy) gave us a welcome mid strength,which was perfect. Also we walk with a guide to the temple and due to the lack of people had a solo ceremony which was intimate. Yoga is available when they are busy. Enjoy our stay , reasonable price also . Strange it was actually cold some days up in the mountains be prepared.no mossies at all

You are entirely nourished by the land by way of food and shelter, while Linda, Norm and their team work hard to ensure that the land and its produce are protected and sustained in return. It' s a truly inspirational place in terms of both beauty and ethos and the food is utterly delicious, incredible balinese dishes using fresh from the garden produce (shout out to the snake fruit crumble!) A place to renew, revive and wonder at the beauty of nature from the Jungle to their own waterfalls. The lodges themselves are utterly beautiful, I loved sharing my shower with a gecko! We left feeling refreshed and whole.

The staff is so kind and welcoming, they always make sure that you have everything you need no matter what. The villas are beautiful and so clean and the bed is the best ever! The view is just one of a kind and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing! I really recommend this place, I will be back FOR SURE!

Maintenance issue but delicious food
Reviewed By GunBaliStay in this place no need for an AC. This place is cold by nature. The good thing about this place are: All rooms with flat TV, however with limited channels. Even some national channels are missing from the list. Hot water supply is enough for two person in bathing period, otherwise the third person need to wait for the heater to heat the water. Water pressure is also good. Breakfast has limited choice, however all of the choice available realy taste good. We rarely taste good food in this remote area. The bad things are: This place realy need for maintenance, peeling walls, half finish building, abandoned villa. In front of each villa is local villagers, some of them has business such as vegetables supplier, parking lot etc. So be ready to see locals around. Rooms cleaning need good Housekeeping practise. Floor mopping need hours to dry. They need to use better mop in this area due to cold weather and damp.

If you don't read any farther, know that we have stayed at a lot of great hotels all over the world and our time at Alami was easily one of our best experiences. In terms of value for money, it may honestly be the best place we have ever stayed. Pictures cannot do justice to the amazing view and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. If you are looking for unbeatable peace, tranquility, natural beauty, romance, and seclusion, this is absolutely the place for you! We will first mention the only bad things we could possibly say just to make clear this is an unbiased review. First, the water pressure was not great. It was good enough to get the job done, but still a bit weak. This is probably not the resort's fault, it's just the price of being sooo far removed from the city and its infrastructure. As you'll see, the positives more than made up for this small issue. Second, if you are looking for nightlife, shopping or any of the hustle and bustle of city life, this is not the place for you. It's about a 2 hour drive from the airport and a 30 minute drive from any type of businesses and restaurants. But if you want to escape the pollution, congestion, noise and other nuisances of city life and retreat to a stunning oasis of calm and serenity, like we wanted, this is the perfect place to stay! Finally, the dining menu was limited. Don't expect a huge variety of dishes to choose from. This is a small, boutique hotel located far from any suppliers. They cannot reasonably keep a huge amount of ingredients on hand to make a long list of different dishes. That said, like every fine restaurant, the menu was short but every dish they did make, they made to perfection. Seriously, we ate almost every meal at the resort and were so impressed by each and every one. We even asked to meet the chef on our last night so we could thank him in person and tell him what an amazing job he is doing. Attention to small details, creative flavor combinations, excellent use of local ingredients and superb presentation made each dish a special treat. Since we are on to positives, we cannot thank the staff enough for working so hard to make our stay incredible, from start to finish. They were always available and so quick to accommodate our every want and need. We decided spur of the moment we wanted to make a day trip to Nusa Penida and they planned out everything for us, making sure the only thing we had to do was enjoy ourselves. The front office was always available via WhatsApp and every staff member was so happy, friendly, helpful, and polite, we have to assume the resort is under good management. We booked the honeymoon package and they overwhelmed us with flowers, candles and other surprises to really make it memorable. We would highly recommend this package for other honeymooners. The villa and location were fabulous, but the impeccable service really brought our stay to the next level. The villa itself was well-furnished, clean, spacious, and comfortable, with lots of small details and accent pieces that really brought out that Bali charm. My wife especially appreciated how the bed linens were perfectly clean and smelled great. A variety of seating areas made the villa the perfect place to just relax in all day. The pool was clean and long/deep enough to swim laps or just laze around in to cool off. There was a small kitchenette with a medium sized fridge, toaster oven, sink and a good supply of dishes and utensils, which was very convenient. There was also a water dispenser with a gallon jug in the villa, which was nice since we didn't have to keep asking them to send us more bottled water like at most hotels. They really pay attention to all the small details to ensure a pleasant stay. Finally, that VIEW! I mean wow, nothing but gorgeous rice fields and palm groves leading out to the ocean. No other hotels, busy roads or concrete monstrosities to be seen. It left us feeling like we were staying on our own private island. We took so many pictures but none could really capture the beauty of it, especially how close you feel to the sea. At night, it's the perfect place for stargazing. Just sitting and enjoying the view, hearing only the birds chirping and the palm trees rustling, was perfect for just relaxing after all the stress of planning and making it through our wedding. We cannot rate this resort highly enough and plan to return again someday soon.
