Juicy meadows are waiting for you at the back of the house; bike- and hiking trails lead from the hotel up to the highest peaks. The "Swimming World Stumm", the kid's playground, the tennis court and a golf course are within walking distance. In winter, the nearby ski resort Hochzillertal/Hochfugen invites skiers and snowboarders with its wide slopes - also cross-country enthusiasts will get their money's worth. Bad restaurant
Reviewed By petergX9121NURestaurant with out any planning to be able to serve 50 guests at the same time. For several evenings during this week we need to wait for the food more then one hour. Incredible bad service and they didn’t seem to learn from the first day the completely missed the timing to serve the food.

Reviewed By phoebeh541We were served sub par food, barely hot out the microwave. We ate because we were hungry not because any of it was enjoyable. The best part of my meal was leaving. Disappointed. We shall not be returning.

Reviewed By andronescua2020Very disappointed, I was there with my family (6 adults and 3 kids) and the service was very unfriendly. We waited more than 1h 20 m for our food... As we asked for how long it takes they treated us arrogant and the waitresses just left the table. After more such episodes (been told that our food we'll be the next but everybody else received the food except us. The answer was that the hotel guests are having priority) we decided to leave the place as the kids were now too unpacient.the chef was at least nice and apologized but we actually had to find another place where we could eat.the problem is... Why so unfriendly, arogant and ignoring? I don't know if they had a problem in the kitchen or whatever but a good service could save a lot ;)

If you are looking for a classic hotel with many beds, a large spa area and standard hotel rooms, then the hotel and Landgasthof Linde in Stumm have the wrong address. In this house, however, special emphasis is placed on human individuality, a friendly atmosphere and a few hotel rooms and suites with charming Tyrolean charm. That's why there are only 3 exclusively furnished rooms and 2 maisonette suites in the historical main building of the Linde next to the romantic Stummer castle. In the spring of 2018 they were elaborately and lovingly renovated by local craftsmen. In the quiet country house Luise on the neighboring edge of the forest there are another 4 rooms or suites for discerning guests who want to relax and get away from mass tourism.

I really love this hotel and we always get a warm welcome. The rooms are lovely (more modern in the main hotel) The fully serviced breakfast is just fantastic. Plates of lovely meats, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes …. Hannes and his team are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. There is also a shuttle to the ski lifts if required. Highly recommend this hotel

Relaxing Family Holiday
Reviewed By BestservedchilledWe booked this hotel for a family holiday (we have 2 kiddies aged 12 & 9) to explore Tirol, walking, visit to Innsbruck etc. We booked half board breakfast & supper, we had a single family sized room for four. The hotel was located in a small town Stumm which we chose for its location and the quality of the hotel. This hotel is NOT for families! This was our mistake not enough research I guess although we thought we had covered all bases. There were no other families at the hotel, mainly elderly folk and single couples. We were generally glowered at every time we left our room by other patrons. Our kids felt very uncomfortable about this, they dare not speak for being starred at! The pool is tiny and the spa/sauna had folk in who were nude so no good for our kids. The hotel was very clean and tidy, we had a balcony to our room which was nice for sitting out at night and watching the world go by. The food was good, typical European breakfast of cold meats/cheese, rock hard bread, yogurt and some cereals. You could order cooked eggs too. Evening meal was good, each night it was a set menu bug they had a salad buffet, then soup then a choice of meat course/fish or veggie. Puddings were ice cream or cakes...no coffee, this was an extra €3! It was well located for various day trips and there is a great lido in Stumm that was packed with families & kids so we went there twice, kids loved it. There is a supermarket across the road from this hotel so each night after supper we sat on the balcony with a bottle of wine which was nice. The drinks at the hotel were expensive...€30 for wine and €6,50 for 50cl beer. Bottle of wine across the road at the supermarket was €6. I would not recommend this hotel to families but would be fine for singles/ old folk with no kids. Not sure what it is like in winter, never stayed then.

Reviewed By TraveloGuroWe stayed there one night and we had to move on to some other place. And we were quite satisfied! Room decorations are rather basic but very clean and brand new. Room sizes are quite large for a 2-star hotel. Breakfast was very satisfying and delicious. If you plan to ski in Zillertal Arena, this can be a nice base hotel. Just 3 min driving to Kaltenbach base and to under 10min to Rohrberg base (to ski in Gerlos). Parking place at the back of the hotel is also convenient. The place prides itself with its Italian restaurant but we did not have time to try that out. Enjoy your stay there as we did very much so!

Reviewed By Cacy65I come over here from Top class hotels in Manila (Seda) and Mumbai (Trident). Just day before I departed, I checked TripAdvisor rewievs. Most of them are devastating. Therefore I prepare myself for the worst. Surprisingly I found here very nice hotel (related to stars), kind and supportive staff. Hotel is clean and very well arrange in Tyroler style. Breakfast and dinner are rich and tasty. Ok, they promote that 1 l of mineral watter will wait in our room, but this not happened. Overall, we were very happy with facility and service. In the end two important details (for me): hard mattresses and a strong jet of shower water :) If some of you published bed reviews, please be aknowledge that situation obviously change now. We will come again.

Great stay!
Reviewed By Axzelupon arriving we were greated by the hostess, felt like coming home! We got a nice, modern and big appartment which was very clean and had all the amenities you need. Breakfast was good, eggs made to order. Friendly owners, we were dissapointed we only stayed here for one night. Only downside: wifi was not working.

Begonnen met een tartaar, echt lekker. Daarna mijn gerecht zwiebelrostbraten, echt perfect klaargemaakt met speckbohnen en kleine salat. Heerlijk ijs als toetje Bediening prima en vriendelijk . Het restaurant is wat duurder dan anderen, maar dan krijg je ook wat. Komen volgende keer zeker terug

The worst experience from Austria!
Reviewed By 550beatriceaEverything is basic. Breakfast poor but you can make sandwiches for lunch. Dinner basic also : soup, Schnitzel, potatoes with fried eggs, pizza and some pork steaks. There was not enough salads. Ski storage was also small and basic. The wifi doesn't exist at all. The worst thing was the room allocated for my family (4 person), not enough space for 4 person, not so clean (also the toilet), many dust (difficult for some allergic person as us) and we couldn't sleep at night due to the noise, everything was creaking and hearing all voices. It was the worst experience in Austria for more than 10 years - I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO STAY HERE!!!!!
