Villa & Winery Mal Sveti Kliment, is an exclusive and privately owned Bed & Breakfast and boutique winery, located near the entrance of the old city of Ohrid called Lower Gate. In a quiet alley away from the traffic but just 50 to 100 steps from the lake and the most exclusive cafés and restaurants, the villa offers the perfect opportunity to explore the old city on foot and be close to shops, restaurants and even beaches. From our villa, guests have a rare opportunity to enjoy the marvelous views of the Ohrid lake, the quay and the harbor. The villa has 16 rooms with ensuite bathrooms, including a penthouse suite, that can accommodate from 2 to 4 people depending on the room category. The villa is equipped with central floor heating with individual temperature regulating in every room. What started off as a hobby, has turned into a great love and devotion to the Macedonian wine culture and tradition. As a small family managed winery, Vila and Winery Mal Sveti Kliment is dedicated to producing only the finest wines, made with great care, passion and the finest grapes! Our boutique winery produces only a couple thousand bottles each year. All the vineyards are located in the Ohrid region, a few kilometers from the city, near the lake and by the mountainside. The vineyards are small, traditional farmlands, managed by the family and by local agriculturists from the nearby villages. Every grape we use is handpicked when it is perfectly ripe, which ensures the quality of our wines. Due to the proximity of the vineyards to the lake, the unique climate of Lake Ohrid is very much reflected in the taste of our wines. This is particularly evident in Ohridsko Crno and Pamid varieties, which are native to these regions. We take great pride in our award-winning wines and our focus is exclusively on high quality and tradition. Our wine bar is built in a traditional stone style, where we even produce our Amphora wine by an ancient method. Reviewed By _steph91986a small hotel located in the heart of Ohrid old town. Note that there is no parking at the hotel, but the hotel can tell you where to park the car. Hotel was clean. Rooms on the average side. Price was very reasonable given how centrally located it was.

Reviewed By pipo21mWe loved our staying at this hotel. It is very clean, the personnel is friendly. The restaurant has a beautiful view over the Lake. Our family room had two rooms, we liked it. We ate very often at nigth in thenrestaurant, they do not have a very big menu but it is good food. The size of the apetizzers are big. So its good to share. They had nice dessert, I recommend the Trileche, if you want something super sweet. The hotel has two swimming pools , one outside with salt water and one inside with a great view and normal water. They also have a baby pool, it is great for people travelling with small children. Also Saunas and jacuzzis.

Reviewed By Karen MWe stayed here for two nights and it was a perfect base to explore Ohrid. Just a few minutes walk from the centre of town and on a quiet street one off the lake. The room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Very good value and would highly recommend.

Reviewed By kilometrosparaelmundI was there last week, travelling alone. The place was a superb recommendation of a friend :) The place has nice shared areas: kitchen, dinning room and terrace. The kitchen has everything that you need (including salt, oil, tea, etc.), and the dinning room has games and a huge TV. But the best thing of my stay was the owner, Djoko, that was very helpful with all my questions and also very friendly (we had interesting conversations). If I'm coming back to Ohrid, I wouldn't hesitate: I'll go back to this hostel! So my recommendation is that you do the same :)

Nice base for lovely Ohrid
Reviewed By Malcolm GGood small boutique type hotel with only 12 rooms. About 10 minutes taxi ride into the centre at a very reasonable price and prompt pickups. Room we stayed in was bright, clean and had all the amenities you would expect with a small balcony. Situated on a main road but did not notice traffic noise as accommodation built a way back. Lovely grounds and outdoor pool ( pretty cold though ). Also indoor pool and spa facilities although only for use after 12.00 which seemed a bit strange - we were lucky with weather so not really a problem but might be different on a rainy day. Not much around the hotel in terms of restaurants/bars - nearest decent place is Cuba Libre about 20 minutes walk away. Staff were very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfasts had a reasonable choice and were typical continental. Could do a bit more on the eco front and get rid of single use plastic toiletries and provide water dispenser. Overall a nice stay in a lovely town.

Common areas offer more space in lounge areas and is equipped with mini-bar, coffee machine and TV. It is suitable for breakfast or relaxation and have an access on terrace.

Hotel Villa Jordan is a brand new accommodation located in the center of Ohrid just in front of Ohrid Lake. It has an open private pool with sunbeds and umbrellas on site for all guests. The hotel features free wifi, flat screen TV with satellite access, air conditioning, heating and many additional services that make exceptional stay for our guests.

Reviewed By 944diyarkWe had a reservation with “Hotel” Villa Jordan for four nights. Upon arrival at 10.30pm, from a very long and exhausting day at Mavrovo Park, we tried to get into the reception to check in but the door was closed. I rang the bell several times and no one answered. I then proceeded to call their contact number. The first time I rang, they just hung up. I dialled again and a lady answered the phone and the first thing she says to me is that we’re late and cannot check in. I tried to tell her that I have not been informed about their reception hours and she said that she had messaged me on booking.com. When I later checked my messages on booking.com, I saw that she had messaged me at 2pm and at 9pm the same day and that’s the only communication I’ve had with this sh*t “hotel”. She said that she could not check us in and I started arguing with her. As we were arguing (and this is somehow really ironic) she came out of the main entrance (I think she didn’t want the other guests to hear it and that’s the only reason why she came out). Both me and my husband were appalled by such behaviour. I said you’ve been in there the whole time?! She then replied that it took some time for her and that is a straight up lie as we were on the phone for less than a minute. So, I still don’t understand why she didn’t want to help us and completely rejected to check us in, a process that could take less than five minutes. As I said, the owner and the service people are absolutely sh*** as I’ve seen how the owner replied back on guest reviews.

Funky, Nature Lover’s Gem with the Romance of Bedroom Jacuzzi

Hotel Villa Dislievski is the place to stay if you want to find the romance at its heart. Located just one street back from the curving lakeshore promenade, it’s a boutique hotel that delights with its funky Jacuzzi focused suites and bedrooms. In a touch of design whimsy the rooms are complete with starlit ceilings and amorous associated colours. All you have to do is supply the Prosecco. Owners Ljubi and Dushko have created a little gem of a hotel which they are so proud of; they are indefatigably warm, helpful, and thoughtful and will help make any stay in Ohrid memorable. Our accommodation was delightful. The Jacuzzi at the end of the bedroom unconditionally romantic; an oasis of indulgence after a day of hiking around the great lake. We arrived by bus from Tirana which took us as far as Struga and we needed a bit of haggling with a local taxi to get to Ohrid; but Dushko will collect you at the airport if you arrive by plane. Ohrid is a glorious stopping off point for travellers between Tirana and Skopje. Dushko was exceptional in helping us with information during out stay but performed one of the greatest kindnesses we have experienced in years of travelling when he discovered that we had left a small rucksack with a collection of airline tickets and hotel reservation documents back at the hotel, having driven us to the Ohrid Bus Terminal (which is a bit out of town). He immediately jumped into his car and raced back to the Terminal just as we were about to board the bus to Skopje. It was a heart-warming gesture we will never forget. Can’t recommend Villa Dislievski highly enough, if you are a free spirited, romantic always hoping for another bit of magic around the corner. Just one slight warning, there isn’t a lift; some of the best mini suits and rooms are on the third floor and you will have to use the stairs. But I can see smiling Dushko bounding up the stairs with your case if you need his help.
