Arrived after 11pm. The check in machine was broken. We had to wait an hour or so before we could access our room !

We had to wait an hour or so before we could access our room and we had to push hard the security personnel that was on site to have my kids to get some sleep. Then in the room there were only 1 pillow for 3 beds. In the morning we tried to talk to the reception but no one was able to speak English at all.

Great Place to relax and eat. Worth the little distance from Center
Reviewed By HapyGuy7This is a great hotel. You need to take the number 7 bus from the train station. and walk 150 meters. Believe me it is worth it. Rooms are large, clean, and have a little patio. Shower is excellent. Friendly English speaking staff. The highlight of this place is the Restaurant. Four star. Try the Cod. We had the Leg of Lamb as well both fantastic.

Wonderful Hotel
Reviewed By Anikita32We arrived early in August 2010 - we had mistaken our dates - yet the staff scrambled to find us accommodation. The food is wonderful, they have a lovely bar, and a beautiful patio and garden. We stayed in a separate cottage as there were 4 of us. The place was charming and very clean. I can't say enough good about the staff. They were amazing. The wi-fi was a little wonky - you had to be in the main hotel to get it but we managed. There's free parking, a bus stop outside the hotel to get downtown, and it's in a charming neighbourhood. It's also about a 15 minute walk to a mall. I returned in 2011 and came to the hotel for dinner. The staff remembered me (and my family) and gave me Christmas cookies to take home for my kids! Language was a little difficult - only one or two spoke English, and my husband only spoke a little German.

Great hotel in the countryside
Reviewed By tomasw529Best Western Seehotel Frankenhorst is a wonderful hotel in the countryside outside of Schwerin. We are extremely pleased with the stay. The inside pool and pool area are perfect. Relax area with different saunas are very nice and fresh. The city of Schwerin was a new experience for us and we will absolutely come back to the hotel and the city of Schwerin. The restaurant is top class. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.

Perfectly located within walking distance to shopping, dining, the castle, the theater, the museum, and other city sights, the hotel is beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well appointed. The staff is professional and welcoming. And now, the food. Starting with breakfast in the adjacent restaurant, tables were beautifully set and tiered trays presented lovely cheeses, fruits, meats, and jams. The bread basket was exceptional. Coffee was excellent and kept hot and plentiful on the table. We treated ourselves to dinner at the Weinhaus Uhle's Michelin restaurant and we were all overwhelmed by the food and the service. With each course, a surprise from the kitchen delighted us! Each course was gorgeously presented and delicious beyond description. Even the salt was unique. Our family spent four marvelous hours at the beautifully set table and it was the most amazing meal I've ever had. Each dish was uniquely presented, right down to heated and chilled vessels. If you have the opportunity to stay at Weinhaus Uhle, you'll be delighted that you did. We will definitely return!

More than 65 years ago, enough grain to feed all of Schwerin was stored here. Now, only the scent of fresh bread rolls fills the air. The historical grain warehouse was erected in 1939 an converted into a distinctive 4-star hotel in 1998. Our privately managed house is situated very quitly, yet only 15 minutes walking distance from the old part of town. The special thing is that you can reach us from Hamburg and Berlin by land as well as by sea ...

Reviewed By ClaireFastWe stayed here over NYE. We were lucky enough to be staying in one of the studios, which, of course, is a little more expensive than the regular rooms. But well worth it. Nice lighting in the room, comfortable bed, spacious. We will certainly come again and now that we are spoilt, not taking the studio will be hard. Only downside: our studio had limited view of the lake. We did see the lake though from the room. Just not a full view of it. I rented a bamboo bike, which is super handy and they are decent bikes. E-charging is available to guests and the bar looks fantastic, though we didn't visit the bar. Since the restaurant was booked out for NYE, we didn't try it. We will try it next time. Breakfast was decent: oat milk, soy milk etc. also available, which is a bonus. Friendly staff. All in all, a super stay at a super hotel in Schwerin in top location. Will be nice go go again in summer.

We visited his hotel highly stressed and not sure how we were going to make our wedding happen. We were meet by a very calm and helpful gentleman. Who was able to secure rooms for us and also give us several ideas for our wedding. We viewed several rooms which were spotlessly clean and looked very comfortable. Most if the rooms are overlooking a small type of courtyard and very quite. It is excellent value for money too. Love the fact that he runs a honesty policy for the beers you comsume there are fridges that you can help yourself to beer and then tell staff on check out Schewerin is a lovely city well worth a visit. Nice and comfy hotel in Schwerin
Reviewed By KlyngeThe hotel is old fashioned and with a very cosy and intimate style. Only 24 rooms. We had no 303 which is a socalled junior suite (but one big room only). We had the view to the little inner lake, very nice. The room was well equipped with seating arrangements and a desk for work. Fine bathroom. Clean everywhere. Morning buffet adequate and with good selection. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed (for good mayby?) The staff was very positive and friendly. There was a nice atmosphere in the hotel. Parking space at 10 eur per night in the closed backyard. The WiFi could be better - it was difficult sometimes to get connection, and there was several "fall outs". But we enjoyed being in Hotel Niederländischer Hof

Long waiting time at reception to check in
Reviewed By AlexSmirnoff80I waited at least 20 minutes to check in. There were just 2 guests before me, but the check in procedure was very slow. The second receptionist was sitting inside and did something on computer. In such situation he has had to come to the guests and help his colleague instead. Room was ok. Breakfast was quite basic for 4 star hotel. A little bit strange was to have plastic/paper cups for juice (maybe because of Covid?), but at the same time they did not provide you with the one way gloves so everyone touched the same spoons and forks to get food from the buffet.
