Reviewed By nebukatnesaI have never stayed at a 2 star hotel before but we really wanted to go to the island and it was the last room left. It by far exceeded my expectations! The room was simple but modern and spacious. Bed a bit too soft though and the bathroom could use a refurbishment. The staff were exceedingly friendly. Breakfast was good and dinner delicious and very Covid-proof! Highly recommended. Will stay here again at a next visit...

Reviewed By 994lukasbWij hebben een heerlijke week gehad bij hotel Brakzand. De kamers zijn prima en goed schoon. Het ontbijt is een belevenis. We hebben ok twee keer inde brasserie gegeten en beide keren voelden wij ons zeer welkom. De chef maakt er echt iets bijzonders van. En heeft tussendoor ook de tijd om even een praatje te komen maken. Brakzand is een uitstekend hotel. Hier komen we terug!

Nice room and hotel
Reviewed By ErasmusbrugWe went here during our spring holiday with our kids. The hotel had a private bus service from the ferry, very efficient. We were here during covid, so the services of the hotel were limited. We had breakfast in our room and also we had dinner once. Both very good. The hotel is close to bike Rental and a good supermarket.

Reviewed By Jet593129The hotel is styalized in an old fashioned manner (l which in its self is not a bad thing how ever the dust hasn't been cleaned since it's been build. Value: the hotel does not have not have airco, and most standard rooms do not have a balcony Location: the hotel is located between the beach and the town, great location Cleanliness: The carpet needs cleaning. They do not clean your room during your stay, even if specifically asked for a cleaning! Service: They do not really seem to care for the hotel guest, no proper reception just bar personel that point you to your room. In conclusion: Great location, don't expect more.

Reviewed By TJ VWe had a bit of a problem with the booking, which we had amended by phone a week earlier. On the phone, then, we spoke to a lady, who handed us over to the manager Jeroen. However, when we arrived at the hotel the Jeroen (I assume there is only one) claimed he never heard of us, and did not bother or offer an apology. They also had booked us for 4 rather than 3 days; but my Booking app cleary showed 3 days.Sloppy management. But at end things worked out OK. Be aware that there is nobody around when the restaurant closes till the next morning at nine or so. The suites are nice and spaclous, but vary in size and lay-out. Well equipped with coffee makers, some toiletries, hooks to hang things (a free bottle of wine, and free apples this time of the year).You do have to climb a somewhat tricky (outside) stairway; so it is surely not for those with handicaps. . The breakfast, arranged by the hotel, but provided by a third party to the room. It is great and plenty full. Nice surprise! Also, the cleaning lady was super nice and helpful.

Reviewed By gersonv180Being from the urban sprawl of Holland, I always need to get used to the typical direct communication in the north. But I like it. The pension is very okay. The rooms are good and the breakfast as well. It is all you need on the island. For the rather low price you get the full package. We were able to dine in via delivery of the different restaurants. It is all a little bit small, but what would you expect. There are also fancy hotels on the island, but that is for next time when we won the jackpot. This pension is good. Only the shower good have had a little more pressure.

Reviewed By 464ellycEen prachtig ruim appartement (nummer 6) met een fijn en ruim balkon met heerlijke stoelen. De ligging in de duinen maakt dat je hier helemaal tot rust komt. Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien. Goede complete keuken, fijne ruime badkamer en prima slaapkamers met goede bedden en voldoende kastruimte.

Reviewed By htalsma71We had rented apartment Vijverzicht. A comfortable place with anything available for a week's holiday. The beds are very comfortable en the quiet surroundings guarantee a good rest. For people who seek rest and who enjoy nature the kooiplaats is the ideal adresse. It's also a great place for astronomy lovers, it has the darkest skies in all the Netherlands.
