Reviewed By granddammeAs a long time repeat visitor, and after an almost 3 year hiatus due to COVID restrictions, the anticipation of returning to our haven of beautiful welcoming smiles, old world tropical luxury, superior service, and food when you want it, anywhere you wish to have it, was just what we needed. We loved the new additions. A definite new favourite was daily lunch under the gorgeous Almond Tree on the beach. Lots of delicious choices from the new wood oven pizza and beach bar grill. If you so choose, there are many other options available created by the talented Chef Maurice! All of the long time staff are as wonderful as ever, and go out of their way to take care of you, whether it is the beach crew, beach bar team, housekeeping, front desk, terrace dining room and bar, reservationists, or the full Management Team led by General Manager Kyle Mais. They all really care and truly appreciate your visit. I will mention that these are standards and traditions long carried on by the Morrow Family the original owners and operators of Jamaica Inn who created this gem. We had so many “Welcome Home” hugs and best wishes when we arrived, that a couple we met actually thought we were part of the Inn. I had to explain that this was the way they greeted all of their returning guests. They were so impressed. There is no other place like Jamaica Inn. It is the best kept secret with an ever interesting historic past. We feel so privileged to be there, and almost have to pinch ourselves every morning as we watch the sun rise from our beach front veranda with fresh brewed Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee in hand, and sometimes greeted by a loving visitor Shadow the gorgeous resident pup. We had a short week of pure bliss on the beach, and are already counting the days for a longer return visit later this year.

Reviewed By DeeCee1980I will save your time right off the bat: As other reviewers have stated if you are looking for a luxury vacation with 5 star a la cart restaurants, multiple swim up bars and party areas, marble floors, modern rooms and amenities - keep looking. This resort will disappoint you. If you are a tired, exhausted parent or family in need of an actually restful vacation with your kids this is your resort. Nannies are great, staff is great, the resort is small which plays into what it provides - relaxation without 5 mile hikes to the restaurant and back. We came with our 2yr old direly in need of rest - tired and overworked. This resort was not what we wanted, it was what we needed - a break!

I'd visit again for the room but not for the food.

Once you enter the premises upon reaching the gate the ambiane of the staff and property is awesome. The food wow DELICIOUS. Everything is explained clearly. CARDIFF HOTEL and SPA THANK YOU.

New Management - Not guest friendly
Reviewed By V2623ZMcbMrs. Daisy's passing is very noticeable. She was loving, kind, & treated guests & workers like Family. The new owner/manager, who at first pretended to Care, is Greedy for USD & is always Watching. Prices have not changed but Customer Service from mgmt has declined - No coffee/tea anymore, 1 roll of SCENTED toilet paper (which everyone knows is not good for females); prepare to buy paper towel & t.p. No guest appreciation - not even a free drink or free bottle of water, Nothing for kids to do. It is horrible. Most of the staff still try to do their best (she even disrespects/talks down to them). The only fun you hear comes from the Jewels resort next door. It hurts to say - this is not the Pipers Cove we fell in love with. If you were Ever here even 1 day with Mrs. Daisy, you will understand. We only keep coming to honor her legacy. But this new lady is ruining it fast.

Reviewed By heronmhThe environment and surroundings were nasty and unsightly. It would be better to cotch on the beach than stay in such a dilapidated place. This is not the standard that Jamaica offers to anyone, and if's unfortunate they have a hotel license. One now understands why payment is non-refundable, and as another traveler mentioned , you are being "Catfished". Place need fi lock down.

Reviewed By jayd5612Surprisingly decent for the price. To be clear, it's very run down. Pool was out of order and looked as it had been for a while, but it has a little "beach". Top tip, ask to rent snorkel there, you can swim to the reef easily from hotel yourself and save a fortune on excursions. View from the room was incredible! Beware, when they say continental breakfast, they mean 2 slices of toast with jam, and a coffee

Room was great, very large with a comfy bed and nice ensuite bathroom. Lounge area and rooftop were also very relaxing We hope to return again in the future.

Reviewed By Karen DWhat a little hidden gem, a home from home. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with facilities to accommodate your every need. There’s also a lovely roof terrace with gorgeous views where you can go and relax at leisure. It’s very laid back and the service impeccable. We was made very welcomed, so much so that when I encountered flight issues, I dashed back to spend a few extra days. The beach and bars are all nearby and Bailey is always available to take you wherever you need to go. There’s free WiFi, towels provided and iron etc. All the little important extras! We travelled up on the Knuttsford Express and they offer a pick up service if requested which is cheaper than the taxis outside. Breakfast is limited due to Covid19 but you have access to the kitchen to make your own meals. Will definitely return in the future. Massive thanks to Bailey and his daughter for looking after us.
