Reviewed By JeanUtrechtVery nice hotel in an amazing location just next to the skislopes. Very good facilities, great food and most of all great staf. The hotel clearly chooses for enough staf and therefore a high service level. Everything is taken care off. They provide skipasses at the reception and rented ski’s from Lenz can be left in the Shiraum and will be picked up by Lenz. This hotel has the right balance between warmth and luxury.

Reviewed By 6AS3We came only for 2 night, and find…a fabulous hotel!!! Very nice atmosphere, wonderful view from the room 204 on Dachstein, super food, very rich breakfast with every day surprise:) The personal of hotel was very kind, professional and helpful! Definitely will come back again!

Reviewed By Lachlan75We have been skiing abroad for over 30 years trying different resorts and accommodations, but at last, we have the one for the future. Great ski in / out with ski room and heated boot storage. Rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable with great views of the surrounding mountainside. Breakfast was varied with good choice, plentiful, and delicious. Elisabeth is lovely. Friendly and a great help with surrounding restaurant bookings. I have tried, but been unable to find anything negative to say - and for that reason we cancelled 2021 booking to Zell am See and are returning here!

Reviewed By Torsten GThis hotel is conveniently located in the Schladming-Dachstein region in Austria, which is excellent for both skying in winter and hiking, outdoor activities in summer. The hotel appears to be family run and has the typical charming alpine design. The rooms are clean and comfortable with perfect views of the Alps. The host is extremely friendly and has expert advice on things to do in the area. The breakfast room was a charm and you have a great choice of meat, cheeses, jams and cereals to choose from for breakfast. Coffee is made on demand or you can use the coffee machine, which gives you the usual options. All in all it was a great scenic location and enjoyable, even if it was just for 1 day. I can thoroughly recommend this location.

Nice place to stay in Schladming area
Reviewed By Valery MVery nice, quiet and well-maintained family run hotel. Room was comfortable and clean, with nice view. Good breakfast. Slopes in 5 min walk. Covered free parking. Small but cute sauna with mountain view. All facilities for relaxes holiday. Will come again. The only disappointment was wifi with poor connection in the room.

Reviewed By szabolcsk982Everything was perfect. The family was very nice and helpful. Room was spectacularly clean. We had a very nice view from the balcony to Dahstein and the valley. The breakfast was very tasty with many choices. We saved a lot with the summer card.

Really great location and couldn't ask for anything better. The owners did a wonderful job to spruce the place up and make the stay comfortable. The breakfast was a huge delicious spread, and she'd ask us what time we were getting up for breakfast each day. She also was very helpful to give us tips about mountain conditions that day, opening hours during Christmas. 10/10 will come back again!

Reviewed By Vlado ZRoom was spacious with furniture from 70'. Breakfast correct but nothing to remember. Location next to the slopes Is conveniant. Village Is quiet and sleepy. Overall impresion Is good but average including staff.

Relaxing holiday in friendly hotel
Reviewed By reisefranzStayed for 6 days in this family run, very nice, quiet hotel in beautiful surroundings. Room 201 was spacious enough for one (travelled solo this time) and was very clean throughout my stay. Breakfast buffet was sufficient for a start into a new day. For the three course dinner (halfboard) you could chose between two main meal options - accompanied with a salad bar and a soup and a desert. The food was very good - thanks to Hans! Drinks are priced very consumer friendly - liked the Welschriesling from Polz. Hans and Manuela were very helpful with tips for hiking tours. Free parking behind the building on own parking lot. Free wifi was working well throughout the hotel and garden. I look forward to stay at Das Platzl again!

Big dissapointment
Reviewed By Christiana SWe came as a part of a big group of 35 with 12 children. Hotel is new, rooms are spacious; surprisingly for the ski hotel there are no heating devices in the rooms so that you cannot dry gloves or anything in the rooms. The skiroom is small for the capacity of the hotel. However, what was the most shocking was the service throughout the whole of our stay for a week. We have ordered the half-board; we had to choose the dinner from 2 meals each morning but even though every time we have waited for the dinner for 1-2 hrs. Last night For example we have waited 1.5 hrs to be served canned beet roots while when complaining about the waiting time, instead of apologies we got the explanation they provide everything fresh. Definitly not a culinary experience, especially with kids waiting each night for dinner for more than 1 hour. In general, service was quite poor with unfriendly waiters, quite unusual for family business. Location is just steps from the skilift, but unfriendly service outweighted the supreme location for sure.
