Reviewed By only_work_4_holidayHad a fantastic holiday all the staff are amazing so kind friendly and thoughtful. Accomodation was fab, had a two bed pool villa for the week. It had everything you could want and was cleaned daily to a high standard. Always staff around they were all very helpful they work so hard to make people's stay awesome and definitely succeeded for us. Never had to wait for anything including a buggy in the rain storm. The hotel was so quiet we seemed to have all the pools both on villa side and main hotel side to ourselves which was a lovely bonus. AI food and drinks good. Can have AI drinks at all the bars (didn't realise this at first) the sun set from the beach bar is awesome! Beautiful walk along the beach in the lovely warm water seeing all the different wildlife! Surf school and rental on site which is great. Hotel has a bus/car service into the town at a reasonable price used the local open back taxi services to return ( a little bit scary at times but what an experience). A short walk away is the Elephant home and we had an amazing time there including a delicious lunch at Memories bar. Fantastic hotel, gorgeous setting, amazing staff with plentiful facilities made an awesome holiday, would love to come back and explore Thailand some more from Apsara!

You are surrounded by water wherever you look as we have the ocean on our doorstep, a tropical lagoon, and an impressive 5,000sqm salt water swimming pool that extends the length of the resort. The beach fronting The Haven stretches for 380 meters and is ideal for swimming and taking long romantic walks at sunset.

Our room maid surprised us every day with different, lovely towel creations, the room was very clean and we had direct access to a huge swimming pool. Since there weren’t many other guests during our stay, we were the only ones using the pool and the jacuzzi which was even better. Special thanks to the very attentive front desk staff, especially Zel and Jack who were always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the restaurant. Unfortunately, none of the waitresses we had were proficient in English therefore there were often misunderstandings. We always asked for drinks without ice but got them each time. One time we ordered a starter to share and main courses and they brought everything at the same time which led to the food getting cold. In general, the food in that restaurant was a bit too pricey for the portion size and quality but on the other hand, the restaurant manager was very kind on our first day - we slept all day because of jetlag and got hungry late in the evening when the restaurant was already closed - Jack from front desk asked the restaurant manager if they could fix something and 10 minutes later they brought us food to our room. That was a lifesaver! Their breakfast buffet offers a lot of Thai and international food, always fresh, always delicious! It’s also nice that there are two Happy Hours every day and they make fantastic Caipirinhas! Also, our room had all amenities one can imagine - plenty of towels, a beach bag, flip flops, slippers, bathrobes, shampoo, body lotion, umbrellas, international sockets - very convenient and the shower gel smelled really really nice. All in all, this is a perfect hotel for couples - especially since it’s an adult only hotel - and I can recommend it to anyone looking for a calm and relaxing ambiance in a more secluded area. If you want to go to the city center or the market, you should use their free shuttle service or get a taxi with an app called GRAB since it is several kilometers away from shops etc. If you use the taxi app you can save a lot of money, it works like Uber. Reviewed By lichinl2017We booked the pool access and the kids’ beds including bed cot were all ready when we checked in. The room was spacious and clean. We called to make up the room early and the staff came promptly. In room food service was fast too. For the swimming pools, there are 3 pools and one of them is for adults only. The water slides, water playground and lazy pool open at designated time. Generally the food was good including breakfast at the floating market. When we were there, breakfast was at floating market, lunch at manta ray and dinner at talay. Also, there was Japanese food stall outside melon minimart.

All facilities are new. Over all very impressive, Especially, breakfast have a lot of choice to eat. Look forward to staying for the 3rd time.

The hotel itself is really nicely designed, the rooms are really spacious (we had a pool villa) and everything is a short walk away within the small complex. Is it perfect? No. There’s a few bits that could use updating or a bit of TLC but nothing at all that is unacceptable, I would assume the hotel is a few years old now. The restaurant and cafe served lovely food, the pool is well thought out, very comfortable with bean bag loungers and a call system to order drinks. But by far and away the best aspect of this hotel though is the staff. They are just incredible. It’s Thailand, so you expect friendly staff, but these guys are next level. We stayed with our 4 month old son, he was greeted at breakfast every day with an excited cheer of his name, they held him while we ate breakfast/lunch/dinner if he wasn’t happy (and you didn’t get the feeling it was because they thought that’s what they SHOULD do, it was because they wanted to). It was so nice. Special mentions to Antoine, the hotel manager, who genuinely goes above and beyond to help all the guests and to Din and Gro in F&B who were just incredible - although sectioning them out does seem unfair as, as a crew in their entirety, they were just faultless. We travel to Thailand quite regularly, it’s our favourite holiday destination, and with so many islands and so many resorts, we try to not go back to the same one twice. For this place though, we might to make an exception.

But let me explain,.. I had a trip to Thailand booked right when Covid hit, so this has been a long time coming. It was me, my wife, and my 17 year old daughter. We traveled 24 hours from the states just to get here but it was so worth it. The property is stunning. Everything has such a classy feel to it. This is more of a boutique resort but you can tell the owner has such a tremendous sense of style and eye for detail. For example, all of the doors have been imported to the property and are magical. I’ll include some pictures in this review. We stayed at a beachside villa and it’s beyond expectations. We have our own pool, and can walk right past it to the beach. The bathroom is insanely beautiful, with an actual plant growing from the ground right next to the freestanding bathtub. It’s so Zen and beautiful. The whole property exudes this sense of style and elegance. Let’s talk about the service. Kobie, our butler, and his staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. He went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met and that our trip had zero stress. For example, we told him we had an excursion that left at 6am. When we went downstairs to meet the transport, one of Kobies staff members ran out to us with 3 boxed breakfasts and waters. He knew we wouldn’t have time and wanted to make sure we had eaten….who does that?? That’s just a small example of the level of service you get here. Lastly let’s mention the food. We ate several times at both restaurants on the premises and they are Michelin Star Rated and totally deserve that star! All the food, INCLUDING the buffet, were top notch. From the fresh passion fruit at the buffet, to the Australian Rib Eye, or the pizza oven cooked pizzas, the incredible pad Thai, or that mango sticky rice which will forever change my opinion of what mango should taste like. Everything was incredible! My wife and I are foodies and have very high standards and we ate so many unforgettable meals here! I’m including a bunch of pictures. You will see what I mean! Thank you Devasom for making our dream vacation come true. We are forever grateful for the amazing memories. If you are thinking about booking, stop thinking and do it! You won’t regret it!
