Empty promise for crib in the room
Reviewed By MacydingdingdingI’ve booked a night stay at the hotel for the Victoria Weekend. The cost was almost $700 for the night stay and the waterpark package with my husband and two of my kids. When I made the reservation, I made sure I’ve entered a note to have a crib ready and available when I arrive the hotel. I’ve also called a few days ahead of time to ensure that the request was in the system. Before I left my house, another call was made to sure the crib will be available. All the responses I had received from the representative were yes, it would be available. I got to the hotel at 4ish, when I entered the room, no sight of the crib. I called the front desk and asked for the crib. I got rollaway bed and I was told that’s what u have requested. I have a 9 month old baby with me, and I was so disappointed and in distressed. If I knew the crib won’t be available, I could have made my own arrangement. But we tried to make it work, so I asked to take away the frame of the rollaway bed and placed the rollaway mattress between the two queen beds to prevent my son from falling off the bed. I was also concerned about increased risk of sudden infant death syndrome as the mattress of the rollaway bed appeared to be very soft. Then my son fell from the mattress when I was using the washroom, away from him for 2 mins. I tried calling again, but all they could do was to put my name on the waiting list. Fortunately, my friend who stayed at the Skyline Hotel, had provided them with a crib, so they gave us their pack and play for the night. I was told by the housekeeping, that this hotel fits more than 700 hotel rooms, only have 20ish cribs. I rated the experience poor when the hotel asked for a review. A representative has emailed me back and told me a manager would call me to inquire about my experience and that never did happen either. I did like everything else, the room was clean, and view was magnificent. Because of this experience and the fact that they gave us empty promises, I do not want to return to this hotel again; as the price was not cheap and I feel that the customers request should have been more valued.

Reviewed By marilynv619Check in was quick and friendly. Gave us a packet of cookies…seemed homemade, and really tasty. Room was clean. Looks like some Reno’s done. I was surprised when we got to our room about 40 minutes later when the phone rang…it was the front desk asking if everything was okay in the room! Nice! Complimentary breakfast was blah…scrambled eggs were cold and watery.

Good view of the Falls
Reviewed By RiversideGrahamClean, comfortable room. I enjoyed the Jacuzzi tub. We were on the 8th floor and from there there is a good view of the Falls from the bed. The biggest problem? We had to ask for extra tea bags. All the staff we interacted with were very cheerful and friendly. All in all a positive experience.

Turned out to be an ion as this place is amazing, the room was very spacious and the steam shower was awesome, strongly considering getting one at home. Staff was very welcoming and you could see they are all proud to work for such a well run facility. Everyone goes over and above to try to make you happy. Location was great, close to everything, we will definitely stay there again the next time. Added bonus was parking was 1/3 cost compared to the bigger places. Also $5/day lot right across the street if you really want to cut parking costs.

Out of date for the price

The elevators are horribly slow, room service took over 2 hours and the "whirpool" tub was so small and shallow it felt like it was made for a kid. There were no robes in the room and there was paint peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom. For the price it was very disappointing. That being said the location is excellent and the view was great.

Reviewed By comedianmuffyWe stayed here for the view and the view was fantastic. A small coffee machine in the room would improve the experience. Having to go to the lobby to get coffee each morning was kind of a pain, however, it is not the end of the world.

Hilton has lost its charm and standards
Reviewed By J7600SWjoebI was very disappointed by my last stay at the Hilton in Niagara Falls. I have been coming to the hotel for over a decade now (minus during the last two years of the scamdemic). The Hilton spent a lot of money on renovations of the lobby and the addition of a new center but failed to upgrade (at least) their premium rooms overlooking the falls. The furniture hasn't changed and as such the beds were horrible (mattresses and headboards) and overdue for an upgrade. We were placed in room number 4857 and the shower drain was clogged. Water wasn't draining properly. The cooling system also doesn't function properly. The minute your turn off the fan, it gets a little humid. Customer service was not great when we confronted them with the unfortunate situation. We expected a full refund, a very legitimate request for a hotel that supposedly prides itself on its excellent delivery of services. I can honestly say that I will never step in the Hilton again at that location. It is no longer worthy of 3 stars even.

Good stay
Reviewed By Yuri PHad 2 falls view rooms with my colleague this weekend. I disagree with other reviews saying that rooms are terrible. My room was very clean. The view was outstanding, really the feeling is it is almost enough to stay in the room to see the falls. The parking was a little complicated but both nights they parked us in nearby Embassy Suites. The noise of the room was a little problem mostly because of the fridge. The second night I unplugged it. But again I do not see why to pay twice more for the same view at nearby Embassy Suites vs this hotel.
