Great stay and nice staff

Reviewed By ElisSeval

We were trying to come to Cappadocia almost 1 year. Due to Covid we had to postpone many times. So we had many chats and emails pre-arrival with the staff. We stayed in an excellent room. We had no single issue during our stay. Jacuzzi was working perfectly and fireplace was so easy to manage. Mr. Ferhan who was working in the evening, he helped us a lot. He doesn’t talk much but ready to help. Whenever we’re coming from outside he was ready at the gate in the late night. Also Ms. Selda was so great, they prepared a room for our honeymoon. Such a nice surprise. She was always asking if we need anything. Umut who was serving our breakfast every morning, he was so cute and gentleman. Unfortunately we couldn’t have balloons due to weather conditions but we didn’t feel bad because our hotel covered the missing points.. So if you’re about to make your mind to stay here, just go! Honestly this can be one of my best stay ever… The hotel is located in Mustafapasa village, it is so so quiet, there are couple of restaurants around and you can’t imagine how cheap they’re. There are lots of ancients around the village, lots of chapels and churches from 13th and 14th century. Thank you for everything, we will definitely come back.

Best Cave Hotel

We had the best stay for a few nights in this beautiful cave hotel. The hotel Owner was more than accommodating, spoke good English, easy to communicate and very friendly and helpful. Anything you need, he will do his best to get the best deal for you & make sure you are well taken care of. His nephew was such a great help, too, with a lovely attitude. Both made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. The room was so cozy, clean, well decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was a good variety and delicious. So glad we made this Cave Art Hotel our choice to enjoy Cappadocia and the area. I recommend it very highly.

Fantastic hotel experience in a wonderful location

Reviewed By AlisonT1116

We spent five nights here in a traditional room and had the most wonderful time, we extended our stay an extra night to experience a deluxe room, styled in the old stone house fashion typical of the area, both rooms were fabulous. The hotels terrace had views all over the area. The hotel is amazing and in a beautiful location of Mustafapaşa an old Greek village on the outskirts of Ürgüp. Our room was wonderful, furnished to a very high stand with great beds and bedding (linen sheets and blankets). Ömer Bey and Ayten Hanım were all 100% perfect helping with everything we needed. Ömer bey picked us up as we didn’t have a car, and helped us find all the local sightseeing places. After a day out would always be greeted with a cup of Turkish tea. Breakfast was 11 out of 10, the best ever and plentiful, organic sausages, eggs, fried potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, assorted cheeses, greens, every type of jam and honey imaginable, butter local fresh bread and börek. Ayten Hanım is an amazing cook. We would always return here as we were treated like family. Many thanks to Ömer Bey, Ayten Hanım, Ahmet Bey and Puki the dog. Cannot wait until we return again.

Fascinating area

Reviewed By colin_bishop1941

We stayed several nights. This was a modern hotel outside of the old town in the newer business district but within a fascinating City and wider environment. The hotel is well placed to allow easy access to the heart of the Cappadocia with its history and beautiful and weird landscape. The hotel has a modern feel about it. The reception area is within a major ground floor foyer with a bar, a few shops and attached restaurant. The room design was ok with a good feel although the single beds were a little too narrow. The room was modestly furnished with a small fridge, a desk and adequate clothing space. It was cleanly decorated. However, the bathroom was poorly designed. The position of the toilet made access and use of the sink difficult (you could only get to half of it). The bath/shower and sink were almost unique in having serviceable plugs! The walls were very thin so you had the disturbance of shower and toilet noise from the adjacent rooms. The restaurant was self service and the large room pleasantly laid out. Although the food serving area was compartmentalized it proved unnecessarily difficult to assimilate what was on offer. There was a large range of cold and vegetarian food and just the rather bland and boring bring chicken or meat ball dish in the evenings. Breakfast was rather similar but there was at least an egg bar and lots of honey and very good really fresh bread varieties. In sum there was a good variety of food on offer although the quality varied.

Old Greek House

The Mansion known as "Asmali Konak" for years is one of the traditional old Greek Houses in fact. Now, it is in service as a hotel named "Old Greek House". The house has built in 1887, then in 1924; it was given to a family of Salonica as a result of the agreement of the commission for the settlement of the exchange immigrants. In 1938, the house was bought for 10 Turkish Liras by ancestor of Ozturks family, who came to the city as a teacher at that time. Ozturks Family has been lived here until 1992. As of 1992, the house has been designed as a hotel. Now, the hotel attracts attention of customers and visitors by its old traditional style and furniture. In addition, an Italian film "Dervish and his Death" (Dervis ve Olumu) was filmed in that place. Also, Turkey's most popular TV channel is still taking one of its films, "Asmali Konak" in this mansion. OLD GREEK HOUSE (OZTURK HOTEL). Hotel Capacity: 13 Rooms, 32 Beds. Rooms with pleasent view. Exceptional Place

My husband and I had originally planned to stay three nights and added on two more because we were so enjoying our time at the Old Greek House, a small family run hotel and destination restaurant. The 200+ year old house is gorgeous, and furnished with lovely antiques; it has a view patio as well as inside sitting areas. Our room was comfortable and clean. The included breakfasts were amazing, as were the five dinners we ate there. And the owners, Suleyman and Ermine Ozturk, are gracious and helpful, with Suleyman, his son, and nephew providing driving and guiding services as well. We highly recommend this hotel! We stayed in the “upstairs kitchen room” whose website description does not do it justice. It is actually two separate rooms connected with a door; one has a queen bed and bathroom, and the other two twin beds; it would be ideal for a family, or just two people who like an extra room for the early riser/late worker/tv watcher. The outdoor patio is just down a short hall and a pleasant place to sit and work or not.

Sinasos Palace Cave Hotel

Sinasos Palace is inviting you to recall this remarkable past in the middle of Anatolia...Sinasos Palace was in ruins when we first met; many cave dwellings and a small chapel... It was hard to start... Finally we were so encouraged to erect the ruins into our dream palace. The Project was designed in 2008, and the restoration began in 2012. So lucky we were to work with a great team of stonemasons who tirelessly and efficiently work for us.At Beginning of 2013, we opened our Gates to our guests...Each room tastefully decorated with belongings to our past...Beautiful linens, pillow covers, laces and embroideries taken out of our grandma's dowries embellishing our rooms...With 6 Suite Rooms and 3 Deluxe rooms, Indoor & outdoor Dining rooms, Lounge, library, and a Terrace with an amazing view of Sinasos is awating you for a dream stay at Sinasos Palace. Our 18 rooms, a conference room and a Spa center will be serving you very soon.Sinasos Palace is locating in Mustafapasa village,5 km North of Urgup town. First of all.. i would like to tell you that it is not at all a Hotel, it’s a Home converted into a Hotel. There are no waiters here. Very very poor hospitality from the owners. One of the pathetic hotel, I have ever stayed. Different rules for all guests, everyday buffet has new timings. One day it was till 7 pm another day it was 6 pm and next day it was 8 pm. But other guests were served till 11 pm. I didn’t understood why different timings for us and why they are doing this to us. In buffet, food items were very less so I want milk for my 2 years old daughter, they were hesitate to give that to me. I was shocked to see their reaction. Also I would like to tell that there is no market near by, this hotel is very far from Göreme area, its in a remote location with no street lights. One day at reception when I asked for taxi or market information to visit famous places then no information was provided to us. It’s a miserable hotel. Not recommended at all. I would like to give one star this hotel.
