Charming and perfectly located hotel
Reviewed By Susan18We stayed one night in a regular room on the second floor. The room itself was small, but very clean with a comfortable bed and shower with great water pressure. We had a great view from our window of the shops and houses of the old town. The owner was very nice, and not only helped get our luggage to the second floor, but also kindly provided a corkscrew and wine glasses for our purchased bottle of wine. Breakfast for 5 Euro was just fine. Hint: Bring ear plugs if you don't want to get woken by the bells at 6 AM!

Very disappointing
Reviewed By 366bartdThis is a dreadful place. We made a reservation for 5 at 16u00, the waitress told us that everything was ok. My wife asked again, is everything ok? The answer was yes, see you tonight. When we came back to eat, we had no table, and heard nothing but lies. So beware, do not make a reservation in this place. They create problems an do not offer any solutions.

Reviewed By ThomasArabiaHotel: What a glorious old building in the middle of Miltenberg. It looks impressive from the outside, however, it has a bit of 80’s flair inside (bathrooms and so), rather than old-style feel. Gasthaus: all good, with tasty local beers. Both businesses are unrelated.

Clean and central location
Reviewed By Connector293074The hotel in general was very clean. The room was very clean,comfortable, spacious, the bed was very comfortable as was both arm chairs where you could easy relax. Negatives, the room lacking tea and coffee facilities and we didn't like the sliding glass door leading to the bathroom, as when the bathroom was in use during the night light floods into the bedroom. The breakfast was very good with a well stocked varied selection of foods, including a good hot selection. Waiting staff were very attentive and efficient constantly topping things up. Like some other hotels, it appears to be struggling to find enough staff. As a consequence it has closed it's bar and restaurant, ( this maybe temporary) of which we were not advised until we attempted to make an online reservation to dine on the day of our arrival. The only drinking option was a bottle fridge ( based on trust) the external beer garden which unfortunately was unlit and rendered unwelcoming. The location was central and minutes away from public parking facilities (only 5 Euros per day) a bargain.

Old world charm with all the ameneties
Reviewed By James WI was on a motorcycle trip through Germany and stayed at the Hotel Rose for 1 night. It is a PERFECT hotel and is very clean and neat. Do not expect all the technology that you might get at other hotels but lets just be honest, you don’t go to Miltenberg to get the best technology; you go to Miltenberg to be engulfed in all that is old world Germany. The Hotel Rose is wonderfully maintained and is clean, neat and quaint. The staff at the front desk and the manager (maybe the owner) helped me get reservation for dinner and it was great. The breakfast was adequate and very affordable. If I had to make any comments that were not glowing they would be: 1) The WiFi was not working right (I really didn’t care as I had perfect LTE coverage) and again, you do not go to Miltenberg for the best WiFi! 2) It is not in the eclectic center of the town but it was a VERY nice short walk. You can go two ways and I took both. I liked them equally. 3) They are not open for dinner. No big deal as there are many great restaurants around. The manager (owner?) helped me get a reservation at her suggested location and it ROCKED!!! The price was very fair, the rooms clean and the management was stellar. I will be back!!!! Thank you for a great, albeit short, visit!!

Reviewed By XX790Positiv: Sehr ruhig gelegen, himmlische Ruhe, schönes kleines Dorf, nette Gastgeberin. Wir hatten ein geräumiges Eckzimmer. Negativ: Schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis: 100 EUR pro Nacht überzogen. Frühstück in Ordnung, aber keine Eier, kein Orangensaft, kein Obst. Dusche nicht separat, sondern in das Zimmer integriert, nur Abtrennwand zur Seite. Eine gemeinsame Toilette für mehrere oder alle (?) Zimmer ist gewöhnungsbedürftig , nicht mehr zeitgemäß und dem Preis nicht angemessen.
