Reviewed By ZambisouA lovely victorian B&B, conveniently located, thoughtfully decorated, super clean. The room had a coffee machine, always very welcome. We felt comfortable and had a lovely breakfast in the garden with home made vegetable pâté and jam, croissant and even gluten free options available.

Nice establish - French literacy makes a difference
Reviewed By CravingPerfectionMy wife and I enjoyed our time at the B&B. You can walk into Downtown Magog in 5 minutes, and our room and bed were comfortable. The air conditioning worked very well, and though the bathroom was exceedingly small, it functioned and was clean. I have two things that may help fellow travellers when they consider booking this location. 1. Language - speaking French would have created a better experience for us. One of the hosts did speak workable English. I like to converse with hosts and other visitors, and this is not something that could happen at the B&B or, for that matter, for most of the establishments we frequented in Magog. 2. If you are looking for decor reminiscent of the time of the building, I found that there were period pieces, but the great majority appeared to be from mainstream shops. There was also an interesting focus on wine bottle openers, but wines were not available, nor were there any suggestions of local vineyards. We didn't ask about it due to the language barrier.

An absolute gem
Reviewed By anthonyw121Well what an absolute jem of a place. Oozing with history and charm this B&B is as cosy as it gets. Thanks to hosts Renald and Jose it feels more like visiting friends making this the perfect spot. Breakfast is served in a sun soaked room or on the patio and the two breakfasts we had were over the top GREAT. Cyclists take note…location right off the trail with a locked storage shed for bikes making this the perfect spot. All of this to say…we just loved our two night stay and look forward to return. Well done Renald and Jose…you have hit all the marks…you and your place are terrific.

Reviewed By SEGMontreal_CanadaThe best B&B we have stayed at. We arrived much earlier than expected and Pascal made sure we knew the hi lights to visit in Magog. The breakfast was fantastic, we had 5 choices and everything was homemade. There is a lovely heated pool that I took advantage of due to the heatwave. The place is impeccably clean and Pascal has made sure all the small things one could forget are at hand. A very short walk to the restaurants on Rue Principale and the river. Highly recommended and hope to stay again.

Reviewed By 196annI booked this hotel for a visit to mothers in residences in magog. I was offered a room at 99.00 cad which included a nice boxed breakfast and a bottle of wine. Also got 10% off at the Asian restaurant in the main building. Service at the reception was friendly and efficient and helpful. My brand newly renovated room was beautiful , comfortable and spotless. I had a private outside entrance. There was a fridge and microwave available. I ordered dinner and was able to warm my food and muffin in the morning. It is situated a short walk from the pedestrian main street which I enjoyed doing in the evening. Lots of cool restaurants and shopping. Easy access to the boardwalk by the lake. The only thing I would suggest is to have a healthier muffin in the breakfast box. Otherwise it was great...juice, cheese, Apple, muffin. There is a keurig coffee maker available.The restaurant was cozy looking. I'm sad to say though I was disappointed in the food. The general Tao chicken, some of which was tough and the broccoli not quite cooked enough. I know the difference between al dente and raw! For 10.00 I can't complain too much. I had also ordered pinneaple chicken to bring for my mother at the nursing home and that was also tough. I had to pick through to find tender pieces. All in all I highly recommend the hotel and will definitely come back again. Thanks to Nancy for her friendly manner. I wish I could remember the young lady at the evening reception. She was the one who offered me a "forfait" as i would have paid more through booking.com without breakfast, nice room and 10% at the restaurant and the wine so, it saved me having to buy breakfast elsewhere and buying wine, a great deal. Thanks again.

Nothing could have been better
Reviewed By JessieBoyWe spent one night in Magog, at this wonderful B & B. Our room (the Merry Room) was very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect. A block up from the town and all the restaurants and shops. We ate at a micro-brewery and were not disappointed. The breakfast.........to say it was the best B & B breakfast experience, would be an understatement. Michel made a 5 course breakfast for us, that was absolutely wonderful. We hope to visit again!!

Reviewed By Cat mBooked this hostel since not much was available durring the dates we were traveling. The mattress was rock hard. There is no AC so we were sweaty all night. The only thing they had was little fans which didn't do much. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was delicious
