Reviewed By Mrobo2022Front desk staff was excellent! Room was a good size, clean, and opened onto the Atrium which is beautiful. Salt water pool with a current was fun for the family. View from the hotel's restaurant was amazing. Great location close to a lot of different restaurants and stores.

Reviewed By ButtonvillesnowbirdThis lovely old fashion hotel is off the beaten path. At the bottom of some rolling mountains, beside a golf course and ranches in front of it. The restaurant was closed when we were there due to staffing problems so we had dinner at the golf course. Staff leaves the hotel at 9 pm approx. So there is a security code to get back in the hotel if you're out and about. There is also posted an emergency number. The staff was very friendly. You get a continental bagged breakfast to go. Wished we stayed longer so we could have played golf.

Reviewed By AdnilgatnosI have stayed here in the past but that was 10 years ago, when it was renovated and the online pictures and fancy write-up were relevant. Fast forward to today and this hotel is a shell of its formal self….extremely dirty, unkempt, run down….the floor in my room had an obvious HUGE hump/hill in the floor (under the carpet) beside my bed…what? I’m not kidding you…you can’t tell me that they didn’t know about this. There was an obvious odour of filth and dirt when I entered my room. I opened the window for fresh air and the window screen looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 10 years (no word of a lie), and it was falling out of the window. Makes you wonder how well everything else was actually ‘cleaned’ in this hotel, never mind this room. Hasn’t COVID taught these owners anything? Plus I asked if I could be provided a grab n’ go breakfast in the morning before their 7:30 breakfast time…no problem they said. I asked for a grab n’ go breakfast when checked out at 5 am, but was told ‘No’, then was reluctantly provided 2 juice boxes and 2 little containers of yogourt with no spoons or bag to put them in. I couldn’t get outta there fast enough. I felt dirty from being in an extremely dirty hotel! Don’t subject yourself to this dirty hotel. I will NEVER, ever stay at this place again! Not if it was the LAST hotel available in Kamloops. I’d sleep in my vehicle before I slept here!

Reviewed By SuzykewzyWe went to Scott's restaurant for dinner May 10th at 5pm. There were 5 other tables seated and only one waitress! There were 5 of us in our party and she said she would be with us in a minute but I could see she was already working overtime. We sat ourselves and waited. Lisa was serving all the tables in a delayed but timely manner, all orders were correct and getting to the tables with the food hot. Lisa kept apologizing but we could all see she was doing a great job at getting to everyone and keeping things running well. After another 30 minutes, the restaurant was full of patrons and she kept on going strong. We got our drinks and the menus in about 10 minutes from sitting down and we had plenty of time to peruse the menu to make out choices. We also realized there was only one cook in the back so only 2 people were running the entire restaurant and doing an amazing job of keeping everything moving smoothly and all the patrons were happy (or at least aware of the situation and not complaining). When our food arrived it was hot and well prepared. We all enjoyed our dishes. As the end of our meal I noticed the cook had even found time to come out and help clear the tables - a great team for a very relaxing family dinner. Thank you for your outstanding service Lisa and "the cook".

Not an appropriate hotel for groups
Reviewed By SusanAndJimThis hotel is one of a few that apparently cater to large groups like those passing through on Rocky Mountaineer. We were with one such group. Our 2nd floor room had 2 nice, comfortable beds with plenty of room in the bed area. The bathroom was quite modern and well-equipped. A perimeter-lighted mirror and temperature controlled shower with multiple heads were highlights. Unfortunately, the bathroom was rather small for 2 people. Apparently there is no freight elevator in the hotel, and the 2 small elevators are ill-equipped for groups. We waited for 20 minutes as full elevators stopped and left. We ended up having to carry our suitcases down the stairs. Not a good way to end our stay.

Initially I did not book a pet friendly room by accident but when I called and spoke to the staff they went above and beyond to ensure that we received a pet friendly room even though the hotel was booked full. Upon arrival staff greeted us wonderfully and took the time to say hi to our dog who absolutely loves people! Room was clean and comfortable. Everything you need is there! Upon check out the staff once again was excellent and friendly!

Transfer Station for Bus Exchange from Rocky Mountaineer
Reviewed By Marguerite SDowntown location in Industrial Style town. A short bus transfer from our train stop, about 15 minutes away. Rooms were ready upon our arrival but very busy with the check-in. Had to await the delivery of our luggage to our rooms from the bus delivery service arriving from the Rocky Mountaineer. Took in the local pub -Shark & caught the last period of the Western Junior playoff game & the pub was full with locals cheering on their home town team. Hotel rooms were comfortable & quiet. Had the view of the park in the back of the building but for downtown core the local traffic was not noticeable. Rooms were a little tight but for the 1 night stay no issue. Staff were courteous, polite & well prepared for the large groups arriving.

Toiletries provided. Ate here. Nice menu and good tasty food at reasonable prices.really enjoyed the chowder .
