Great hotel with amazing views
Reviewed By RapwalkI've stayed in enough rubbish hotels in South Korea - go no further than Ramadas as an example - to know a good hotel, and the Stamford, Tongyeon is very good. Friendly staff, clean rooms with fabulous views, and a very tasty ground floor restaurant that did good steaks and had decent wine. The hotel was not over-busy, there was none of this forming a line for breakfast, the elevators were efficient and the wraparound balcony was superb. This is a proper hotel that actually offers facilities. You are also very close to the fantastic luge and cable car. And parking is very easy.

Reviewed By SimwhitProbably the worst room experience I have ever had. Unfortunately this stay was booked by our business hosts so they will have booked the cheapest room however even for a cheap room there should be minimum standards! Very basic amenities and the only wooden bath I have ever seen. A trip to B and Q, purchase a few planks of 4 x 2 and you too can have one. Air con all noise and virtually no cool air, no blackout blinds so with the light level outside it was like trying to sleep in the middle of the day. The shower was an absolute disaster. Shower head bracket hanging off the wall by one screw and the overhead ceiling outlet wouldn’t latch in when pulling the valve so unusable. To cal it all, no shower door but a curtain (what type of hotel has shower curtains in 2022 other than student backpacking ones?). With the shower curtain closed the uprising warmer air causes the curtain to billow inwards and clinging to you. Only way to stop this is opening the curtain, which then soaks the toilet which is right outside the shower. I give this hotel one star only because there is no lower choice.

The only hotel in Gimhae
Reviewed By Frans MSomeone local told me that the IsquarE hotel is the only one in Gimhae. At least, the only 'international/business' hotel. Surprising because this place is full of business. It is halfa an hour from the airport and a bit further from Busan. It is immediate next to the lightrail that connects to the Busan metro system in half an hour. Public transportation works very well and is really cheap. The hotel claims to have a fitness/sauna but that facility is located in an adjacent shopping mall/cinema. While I made enquiries about using the facility I was told it was going to be shut down that wednesday. For good or temporary, I could not tell. The gym was free, the sauna needed to be paid. The hotel has a few indoor restaurants that serve international food. Breakfast is mainly local foods, the coffee is awful. In the lobby there is a coffee corner that produces decent coffee but it only opens at nine I believe. Rooms are OK, AC in my room was quite noisy. Everything works. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The location is not hard too find and is near restaurants so it’s easy to search for food. Def first choice to go in Changwon ??

Reviewed By tvs1360+ Nice clean room, good beds and quite fast free WIFI. Breakfast was mix of western/Korean style. Located next to a department store/restaurants. - No breakfast at Sundays. Restaurant was not opened for lunch and dinner.

Beautiful room, friendly service, great breakfast
Reviewed By Finem50I was in Tongyeong to play in a music festival. The musicians were spread out in various hotels throughout this lovely resort town. When I got to my room at the Gallery, a short walk to the concert venue, I knew I had hit the jackpot. The room was large and spacious with a gas fire place, large jacuzzi tub as well as a walk in shower. The view of the harbor was beautiful. A pity the terrace was glassed in but that in the overall context of a great hotel experience, I didn't mind. For optimal wifi, the room had its own 5G router. Breakfast - a western breakfast was available - was generous and delicious. The general hotel ambience is relaxed and not resort-chic: a comfortable place to relax during down-time.

Reviewed By Eric MWe stayed for 3 nights in March and found this hotel to be quite nice. Compared to many hotels in South Korea this one is more western in style. The room was comfortable and clean and the view from the balcony is nice. There are also several entertainment options for kids (Playstation room, pingpong room, small arcade, etc) although we did not utilize them. Although it is located a short distance from Tongyeong city it is still convenient to town, especially if you have a car. I would stay here again gladly.

Nice hotel with good location
Reviewed By aprice84This is a nice hotel with a good location. There’re plenty restaurants nearby, also with GS 25 in few minutes walking distance. Very close to undersea tunnel. Nice sea view . Workers are nice . Only things is the breakfast is not too many choices. Atomic light in the room is also annoying. Otherwise everything is fine.

Reviewed By LCNM19I arrive early in the morning for one night. A room was made available and very quick check in. The room was large, great view over the water and very clean and modern. Great selection of teas and coffees. Also mini bar etc. I had lunch in the Buffett. A massive selection all really tasty. The breakfast buffet was also good. The hotel is central, has good WiFi and also gym etc. So well worth while and a good price.
