Good and favorable in the best location. The hotel is top located with a view of the castle and its splendid garden. The Barlachstadt Güstrow is an ideal place for star rides through the country of thousand lakes. In just about 45 minutes Schwerin, Rostock with the seaside resort Warnemünde or the lake district with the town Waren/Müritz can be accessed by coaches. The hotel has a large lobby, 24-hour reception desk, lounge with fireplace, lift, restaurant, bar, event locations up to 80 persons and bicycle storage. All 108rooms are equipped with a shower, toilet, hairdryer, wifi and Full-HD-TV.

Reviewed By joelerictFantastic location and super hotel and restaurant. Fully refurbished and decorated rooms with best hotel beds ever - slept so well would love to have the same mattresses at home. Breakfast buffet was amazing for choice and quality and staff were super friendly. Bar man even served drinks at our arrival, which was after bar closure. Will be back for sure!

Reviewed By petero251966I have spent here 2 nights in December. Rooms are large and comfortable. Service is friendly, breakfast more than sufficient. Restaurant has a large menu, but a quite poor wine list. As usual in East Germany the food portions are extremely large at the expense of delicacy. Conference room was just right for 15-20people.

While enjoying the stunning views over the lake and the beautiful countryside you will be able to leave behind your everyday worries. Our quiet rooms and the Italien delicatessen served in our restaurant will entice you to abandon your bike and leave the cycle route Berlin-Copenhagen or Rügen-Hamburg that passes directly by our "Strandhaus".

The staff was very friendly and served us very well - almost at any times as we were up very early in the morning and also late at night. The price is reasonable and is a very good value for the money. I can recommend the Strandhaus am Inselsee to everybody.

Charming stay in Güstrow
Reviewed By tmad10Travelled to Güstrow for business. We stayed at Villa Carmenz a few nights and we were very pleased. The rooms, common area, and breakfast area were clean and charming. Breakfast was good and we enjoyed conversing with the owners. It’s a short walk to the center of town.

Reviewed By frederik9370This hotel is a good choice if you want to visit Güstrow. It is almost in the city center and all attractions within short walking distance. The rooms are nice and clean, the breakfast buffet is good with well assorted choices of food. Friendly staff. Parking is next to the hotel. I can highly recommend this hotel.

A magical experience!
Reviewed By laurenj230My partner booked this as a one night surprise stay on our way to Copenhagen to get married. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so special and welcomed. We were very lucky that we were the only guests so we had the luxury of the castle to ourselves. Miriam was so relaxed and attentive we immediately felt at ease and very much pampered. We were treated to drinks on arrival, a private sauna session, homemade 3 course dinner, our pick of accompanying drinks from the bar and a very thorough tour of the castle which was fascinating. There were so many thoughtful, helpful touches such as lights and music ready to accompany our meal, bathrobes for the sauna and free access to the library that our one night stay felt like a far longer, relaxing and magical. The room itself had the wow factor. The most comfortable bed, soft furnishings, drinks and toiletries and a huge bathtub! We felt so spoilt but also relaxed. Miriam is an outstanding host and we feel so lucky to have had such a memorable and special experience. The grounds are no doubt beautiful but we only spent a short time here so couldn't explore fully. The breakfast was extremely generous and good quality with personalised choices. Just a brilliant experience from start to finish!

Reviewed By IburingaThe Hostel is right at the market place in the small city centre. There are convenient short term loading parking spots just outside the hostel and enough parking in the vicinity. We slept very well - quiet place and good beds! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Good value for money!

Nicht enttäuscht wie immer
Reviewed By ThomasRFKWir waren als Familie wieder zu Gast im Gästehaus Heß. Wie immer hatten wir das Zimmer 2 (Familien Zimmer). Für eine Familie das ideale Zimmer, da die Kinder von den Eltern durch das Badezimmer getrennt, in einem eigenen Zimmer, mit eigenem Fernseher schlafen. Somit haben die Eltern auch ihre Ruhezone. Für 4 Erwachsene würde ich es nicht empfehlen. Die Besitzer und das Personal sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und das Frühstücksbuffet sucht seines gleichen. Auf Wunsch bekommt jeder Rühreier und Spiegeleier frisch aus der Pfanne serviert! Wir fühlen uns immer fast wie Zuhause.
