Reviewed By SunaksWhere to start? On arrival there was a brief hiccup with our booking which was efficiently sorted by the day manager Mr Mou. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds. The room was equipped with a good bathroom with plenty of hot water. It had a hairdryer, kettle, ac, TV with a couple of English channels. The breakfast buffet was plentiful & had a 2 for 1 offer. There was a complimentary coffee machine in the lounge area next to the lobby & also a free laundry room. The hotel itself is located on a pedestrian mall & surrounded by Markets & lots of restaurants. The Yellow River & White Pagoda Park is a short stroll away. The ever helpful Manager Mou came in early to flag down some taxis for us when we departed. Highly recommended to all.

Reviewed By tumbunaThis hotel is in the oldr streets but the people are very helpful. The beds are comfortable and taxis are plentiful if you need an early ride to the station. No noise from the street from level 4 but not sure about others. Breakfast for 6Y if a member is a nice touch.

Rather good location and room

Not much to complain about, the view on the Yellow River and the Lanzhou city is very nice, the room was comfortable and everything was working. Not much more to ask after a 20 hours trip! The hotel is on the "wrong" side of the river but 50m away from a large bridge so that's not really a problem. On the down side, the breakfast is exclusively chinese and even a cup of coffee is difficult (read impossible) to get... and forget being understood by any member of the staff! Well that remains minor anf is probably part of the cultural experience! Overall a rather pleasant stop.

Nice room, good location
Reviewed By lI0ve2h0lidayStayed in a nice room on the 4th floor. Good aircon, comfortable beds, good wifi, flat screen TV, bathroom a little small but decent shower. Rooms fresh and clean with wood effect flooring and tasteful lighting. Location is good just round the corner from the night market and 15 minute walk to the yellow river, iron bridge and beer boats. Breakfast is in a separate building and has a good selection of mainly Chinese dishes, but there are eggs boiled and fried, plus melon, tomatoes, sweetcorn, probably the best breakfast I have had in a Chinese hotel.

On ce you walk in you feel like walking into a great middle eastern hotel. It lays in a suburb with no facilities around apart from a very small park. Staff does not speak English. Reviewed By CanadianSledderThe building needs some work but it very quiet. Building 8 has spacious rooms. There was no fridge in the room and none could be found. The safe didn’t work and the WiFi was spotty. The restaurants are spread out. I tried to get room service when I arrived but I was told that I had to go to the cafeteria. Food is pricey compared to local restaurants. Bring a translator (app). The staff has very limited English.

Reviewed By BTLimLanzhou has not much to offer in term of tourism. We are here as part out itinerary covering the cities of the ancient Silk Road. The hotel looks doggy from outside as you have to maneuver thru an old building to get to the reception. But once you are inside, its like a hiden gem. The room has been nicely renovated, its clean,spotless bathroom and has everything you need for a good night sleep. The only drawback is the street noise but we were not bothered at all. The location is perfect, just next to the famous night market where you can have all kind foods under the sun. It is also close to the pedestrain mall and with shopping outlets surrounded the hotel. You can walk to the Yellow river enjoying a drink by the riverside at night while overlloking thr beautiful scenery at night. The best of all is the professionalism of the hotel manager who are there always ready to help and even offer to walk us to get some good food . Home Inn has been emerging quite fast in China with outlets in most of the major cities and with the service level that I have encountered, it is not difficult to know why there are doing very well . Thanks for the experience.
