Top 10 hotels in Cork, Ireland

August 6, 2022 Alice Mieles

Plan to cross many bridges when in Cork. Ireland's third-largest city began life as an island and now spans both banks of the River Lee, with watery channels running beneath some of its main thoroughfares. The best way to experience this hilly southern seaport is on foot, following the signposted walking tour past St. Finn Barre's Cathedral and the riverside quadrangle of University College up the hill to red and white Shandon Church. Along the way, you'll meet plenty of the city's talkative residents.

Excellent hotel on the doorstep of Cork city centre. We were very well taken care of during our stay. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food in the bar and restaurant was fantastic. We ate well and slept well. Absolutely no complaints. There is a good sized gym and swimming pool at the hotel. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the city centre. We parked the car on arrival in the underground carpark and then forgot about it for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

I really liked this hotel for the ambience, it is a an old world hotel in top notch condition. The beds were comfortable and all the amenities were great. The food was good for breakfast, very fast and very nice staff. The front desk staff was the best and went the extra mile for guest, if you needed anything they would help. Plus they overheard us talking about our 28th wedding anniversary and sent us a bottle of wine and a card! That was a very special touch and ensured that when in Cork we will always stay here. Location is great close to restaurants and pubs!

I came down to work in Cork City for the ED Sheehan concert that was being held. I stayed in Jury’s for the duration of my work , I found the staff to be very welcoming and accommodating to my every need while staying . I would also like to recommend a certain worker a blonde girl I believe her name to be Sophie for her hard work in the time I had stayed . She worked almost every night we stayed and was a very chatty lovely young lady , I wish her the best in the future and hope she gets the recognition she deserves for all her hard work putting up with myself and my colleagues . I really would recommend Jury’s inn as a place to stay while ever visiting Cork

Nice hotel but disgraceful customer service

Reviewed By Dee2002_9

Stayed here twice in the space of a few months and on both occasions the room wasn’t ready well after the check in time. We were given different excuses each time. Left standing in reception with children and no time provided. Packed up the car again and the children and drove off to find something to do each time. Charged full rate for one night on the last occasion and we didn’t get to use any of the facilities due to hanging around unable to check in. Expensive hotel and there wasn’t even a response about my feedback to them about the disappointment on both stays. Hotel is nice but don’t travel a long distance without being absolutely assured you can check in within a few hours of the stated time and don’t expect anything from their customer service either. Very disappointed.

Lovely hotel with some room for improvement

Reviewed By dhanlo243686

Overall very positive. Reception team were excellent on arrival, and went above and beyond for those of us running the Cork marathon and thus needing early breakfast on a Sunday. Bed was comfortable, room was large (Deluxe Double), and shower was good. Only drawbacks, no fridge in room, and breakfast pastries, breads, juices etc didn't seem to be high quality (Budget brand juice cartons being used to fill juices, only brown/white sliced pan bread options etc) All up, lovely hotel, and grounds were nice.
